Customer Service Experts - SO TYPICAL it is actually funny

Customer Service Experts sent an "anonymous" voluntary survey out to shoppers to get their opinions about their company. They asked a series of questions and then had spaces for narrative. I took a lot of time to answer the questions and even provided a nice long narrative in one of the sections. When I hit send, would you believe I got the OOPS! message that my "shop" is not complete - I didn't answer all the questions! And it listed out all the questions I did not answer (these were questions I did not feel I wanted to comment on).

ARE THEY FOR REAL??? It's a VOLUNTARY survey. They are not PAYING me for it!!!

It's so funny because I just spent a lot of time explaining to them in a narrative why I hesitate to shop for them - that their editing is too picky, they bounce reports back because "yes" answers were "not addressed", etc. And this voluntary survey is the perfect illustration of why this company aggravates shopper. I actually laughed out loud when I got that OOPS! message. I didn't bother answering the "incomplete" questions. If they really want to know what I think, they will have to read my incomplete survey.

I wonder if they'll grade me on it.

I have another typical CSE comment. I completed a shop for them recently that had no narrative. It was all yes and no questions. My grade for 9 for minor editing due to grammar and punctuation. Um, there were no grammar to punctuate??!!
I started to fill out the survey before, but didn't have enough time. I have to say, I was a little turned off by the directions for the narrative. It read just like their shops, stating that you must support your answers.

I WILL fill it out, just because I want to tell them my thoughts, but the tone of it really turned me off. I'm not going to go through the whole thing question by question and support ALL my answers, so like SassyGirl, I wonder if I'll get graded! I don't know how "anonymous" the survey is, actually. There was something non-generic looking in the url. Honestly, I really don't care if it's anonymous or not.
They won't get me to spend one minute of my time on their survey, thanks, but no thanks.

I use this forum to tell the mystery shops how I feel. I know they read this forum. I hope they care enough to service their clients. If they pay too little they will get what they pay for. Quality comes at a price.
Hello,

Thank you for your feedback on our survey in this forum. This is our first time conducting a survey of this type and based on your feedback here, we have made the additional text sections un-required.

This truly is an anonymous survey and we hope you will take the time to fill it out. We greatly value all feedback, not just what is posted on forums. We are gathering this feedback to better serve our evaluators and improve our company.

Sincerely,
Amanda Benson
Director, Measurement Services
When you offer me (email) the jobs I am interested in and not the zillion other jobs I'm not going t o do in different states, maybe I'll take your survey.

Dear Amanda,

The word is "unrequired," not "un-required." Also, you need a comma after "survey."

I wouldn't doubt if you're the one editing my reports, claiming that my spelling, grammar and/or punctuation was incorrect. Some of your editors do a lousy job. I had the temerity to complain once about a situation where the editor obviously had not read my report. One of your schedulers said she would look into it, after which I never heard anything further.

That said, I still do a handful of shops for CSE. It's "copy and paste," to the extent possible! And I find it endlessly amusing that I receive inconsistent scores for submitting the exact same reports, 6 months apart.
