Intellishop misinformation.

It seems intelli-shop has started doing doing some gas station shops. My son signed up for one just to see what was involved it was one we were driving past that day any way, but it's not close to home.

We looked up the address, and it was a different gas station. The name brand gas station was on the other side of the freeway just about the length of a football field away. So the name brand store is the one that my son evaluated. They refused the shop because they said that he did the wrong shop, He was supposed to do the gas station across the freeway that is a different brand.

We both went back and read the guidelines, doesn't say anywhere in the guidelines that there are any other station names that you are supposed to shop it only says the one brand name. It says clearly that that is the name of the station that you will be shopping.

But they refused to pay him. I wouldn't let him go back because it's a more than an hour drive for a $15 shop, that wouldn't even be worth it in his stupid little broken focus bomb, it sure as heck isn't worth it in my Jeep.

Other MSCs tell you if there are other brand names (example: Chevron/Texaco). Or they tell you to report anything other than the brand you're shopping as a closed location.

I am not certain about the MSC or the client you are referencing. It has been a few months since I did any of these shops. Recently, there were the brand shops as well as competitor shops. The competitor shops were found by clicking on a little yellow sticky note on the brand page. When I did these shops, I signed up separately for the brand locations and the competitor locations. Some people might want both. Others might not have time for so many locations. There is more work and slightly higher pay for the brand locations than for the competitor locations. Does this sound similar to what you/your son experienced?

Shop,

Not the competitor shop, I won't let my son do those, way too much work for too little pay. It's the green and yellow "cheap gas" station brand. I'm not really sure if they are nationwide, I don't remember seeing them in CA before I moved. But they are really expanding a lot here in Alabama. They just built 3 big new stations in and around Huntsville recently.

Maybe you can screen shot the google maps showing the store name or something on the store's website showing that it is a different store?

Their response to us telling them that the station was a different brand was to say that that brand is also under their "umbrella" and it should have been shopped. But it says nowhere in the guidelines about there being any other station names or brands that should be shopped. Or that we should shop whatever brand we find at the address that gave us.
