See Level

Has anyone done much with them? I did one shop a couple of months ago and liked how clear the instructions were, how responsive they were to my email question and how quickly the paid. I haven't seen shops with them since and wonder if anyone else has or when they usually release their shops.

I used to like the them. I self assigned a shop, completed it and submitted the report and was given a 1 rating because I was apparently out of rotation.

How is that my problem?
They can vary, I'd say most of the time they're very good and easy to work with, but occasionally they're very annoying and difficult. Overall a good company, but I don't shop with them that much because they don't have a lot of shops near me consistently.
Have to take the good with the bad with this company. They are definitely worth working for if you can put up with me somewhat incredulous schedulers from time to time. A few of their schedules are awesome, and a couple not so much. There have been times where I've made quite a bit of money doing their shops.
I still see and accept some of their shops. They have both peanut and well paying shops. They are owned by Intouch Insight now and who actually has a printed schedule of the dates shoppers will be paid twice a month. Prior to being acquired, SeeLevel paid once a month. Looks like II took over their annual Quick Service Restaurant shops/study. At least in my area that is where they have been posted.

I'm still trying to figure out the structure of the MSCs! I see Ipsos associated with different MSCs, as well as Shopmetrics. It is a tangled web for sure! I hope See Level posts more jobs soon. I did enjoy what I did for them.

See Level is top notch IMO.
Clear instructions and plenty of help from schedulers and reviewers.
They pay well and also promptly.
See Level is top notch, although they have a few silly requirements on certain shops when it comes to POV.

IPSOS is a major multi-billion Euro organization. Mystery shopping is just one small bit of their research empire. MSCs either schedule shops themselves or - as IPSOS largely does - engages ICs to schedule shops on their behalf. On occasion, one MSC will subcontract shops to another MSC. This is rare with IPSOS. IPSOS uses the two main MS platforms, Shopmetrics and Sassie. They also have some ap based shops as well, largely on Presto which is Sassie's app.
IPSOS is the third-largest market research company in the world. AC Neilsen is #1. You can read about them on Wikipedia: [en.wikipedia.org]

They trade on the Paris stock exchange. Their stock in the US trades in the OTC Pink Markets as IPSOF. If you don't know about the "OTC Pink Market", suffice it to say that it is not the NYSE or NASDAQ. Very few shares trade each day in the US (it is almost certainly considered an illiquid stock in the US), but on the Paris Exchange, they are a very big deal indeed. This is how they describe themselves on LinkedIn: "Ipsos is one of the largest market research companies operating in 90 markets with more than 18,000 professionals." I believe that the 18.000 are employees and do not include contractors like us that do mystery shopping. With their resources, could they provide better communication with shoppers? I am sure that they could.

Yes, it is a diverse web of sorts !

You can find Intouch Insights shops on the isecretshop portal along with other MSC's. This is where the SeeLevel QSR shops have moved to (under Intouch Insights). Unlike some other portals, you can still look at the SeeLevel shops directly on their site and will continue to receive shop notifications from them. For example, if you sign-up to Gigspot (another portal of various MSCs) then you can't get shops assigned directly from any of those MSCs sites, just thru Gigspot.

There are varied opinions on using the multi MSC portals, but I like it because I can just sign into one site vs. each one individually. Also, you get a daily notification from Gigspot on the shops available. For me, it is less clutter to clean up in my inbox.

Ipsos uses 2 platforms, Shopmetrics and Sassie. These platforms are commonly used by other MSCs. When you login to Ipsos you will have the choice to choose which you want to view available shops on.

Ipsos had only 1 portal several years back, but thru the acquisition of other MSCs and winning business from various clients (also formerly with other MSCs), their use of the two portals came to life.

If you're out of rotation and the system let you assign it, that's on the MSC and their system. It's just plain outrageous that you should get a 1 (and no pay, possibly) for what's clearly not your problem.
