1099 From Ipsos?

I have received 1099s from several companies, but not from Ipsos. I earned more than $600 in 2022 so should receive one. I can't find a way to contact them. The website lets me contact a scheduler, but I can't find any other contact information. Can anyone help? Also wondering if other shoppers received 1099s from them.

I received mine for both platforms.

Did you earn over $600 on either platform separately?
As IPSOS pays via PayPal, it is not required to issue 1099NECs. Regardless, one isxrequired to report all income whether of not a 1099 is provided.
I just got mine for the second platform today. The other one came a couple days ago.

I have both of my 1099s from ipsos right here in my hot little hands. Just waiting for the rest of them.
My husband and I should have 1099s from both platforms, and we have received none of them from Ipsos. Several other MSCs, but not Ipsos.
I have not recieved mine for either platforms. So i filed without them with the income info i have on them.
Not true on reporting all income without a 1099. Almost 20 years of this work...
been audited twice by IRS, I have never reported any income under $600.
No 1099, not on my taxes !!
I reported it because i most definitely made over $600 for each ipsos site. So i should expect 1099s, just dont care to wait for the 1099.
1. Reimbursements - Reimbursements are only not taxable IF the company paying them holds them in a separate fund. If they do, then they are not listed on the 1099. With the new PayPal rule...I don't see that getting deducted.
2. Are shoppers getting a 1099 from PayPal and from each company they made over $600 with? You can't report both or you'd pay twice on the same payments. Those who received a separate 1099 from IPSOS- Was that included on the PayPal 1099 as well? I'm assuming so, but I'd like to know before I jump back into the shopper game.
You have chosen to risk not reporting all of your income. That is your choice. It is not mine.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
The government is NOT helping when they separate what little income you make via Msing, by taxing you. Reporting less than $600 won't get you into heaven either.
Claiming all you make, no matter how small it is, has many benifits. Buying vehicles and houses, morgage loans, etc, the more income you make, the better. Renting homes/apartments, starting businesses, social security amount at retirement age. I claim everything. And when i use to serve at restaurants, i always claimed all my cash tips. It may seem little, but after so many years, that income not reported adds up.
Not talking about houses, cars, etc.
It is not a "risk", if you abide by the less then $600.
I had conversations with the auditors about it (when I was audited).

Yes it is. It's illegal. ALL income must be reported.
You might not think 600 is a big deal, but $600 per MSC will add up quickly for most of us. Hell, I'm registered with over 75 companies and if I were to earn $600 with each one that's $45k.... I do believe the IRS would be quite irritated about not reporting $45k in income.

If I remember correctly it used to be (and I'm not 100% sure on this, heard about it but never verified)
If you earned less than $600 TOTAL for the entire year you did not have report the income.

I heard that also...

For example.. If I make $ 300 for Market Force and $ 301 for See Level I do not have report it? Even though it is over $ 600 total but less then $ 600 for each MSC?
Legally, all business income must be reported unless the total of all profit is less than $400. So, if your profit is less than $400 for all MSCs, then it is true you don't have to report the income. But if you get any 1099s from even one MSC, it still is a good idea to report to income so as to claim your deductions and not get automatically taxed on the gross amount. And if you report income from even one 1099, you have to report the rest of the income even if it is under $600.

I knew I had heard something like that... I was just off on the amount.

No, in your example you would be over the threshold. (Although someone corrected me & the amount is $400) but that would be a total of every single penny taken in from each company totaled up.

I should clarify the $400 rule applies to whether you have to file a return or not. If you file a return for any other reason - such as having a regular job that withholds taxes, you have to report any amount of self-employment income, even under $400.
My comment was based on actual events in my life. I don't know any of you
on this forum. Do whatever you want or feel is right with your own situation.
I do know this...I don't stop by police stations and let them know I was speeding
or had a couple drinks and made it home !! smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley
I'm afraid to file without the 1099. I enter all the 1099s, then lump all the other companies together as additional income. If Ipsos actually issued a 1099 and it was lost in the mail or something, it would look like I failed to report that income. If the IRS questioned it, I could point out that it was included in my additional income category, but I don't want to get any questions from them!
My friend who also mystery shops has double reported income. The MSC gave a 1099 and that income is also in her Paypal 1099. She has not figured out how to deal with this yet.

She uses HER personal (organized & amazing) records......
I don't care if PayPal sent me a 1099 that said I made 500k, if I only made $50k that's ALL I'm reporting. And I would have the records to prove every penny deposited & where it came from.
I have some companies I have only done a few shops and earned $27 here and $35 there. I won't get 1099's so I have also lumped the amounts together.
