Well, this is a new rejection from Presto

I had a food truck shop rejected today because the truck wasn't parked in its usual spot. It was parked halfway down the block so it was rejected based on my shopping the wrong location. When I appealed, the reviewer said I should've taken a picture of the empty spot and reported the restaurant as not shoppable. Has this ever happened to anyone? I've only ever had problems with one reviewer at Presto, and sure enough, when I checked who reviewed the shop, it was that person. Unreal.

That's just wrong in so many ways. Can you appeal to the scheduler? I know Presto doesn't have schedulers per se but you did the shop. You should get paid.

I'm guessing anyone on this forum will no longer do food truck shops after your post.

I have not seen these type of shops in my area. However, did the guidelines address this issue? What to do if it is not in its usual location, but close by?

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

Kathy.
She once asked for a crapload of revisions on some shops because I didn't write my side of the conversation when asking workers about surcharges for credit cards. Nowhere does the question ask for the shopper's side of the conversation. I pointed that out to her but wrote the revisions anyway. The following week, she returned more submissions for the same reason. No other reviewers requires it because they somehow understand that the form doesn't ask for it.
She's also returned submissions because I didn't write complete sentences for workers' answers. I can't control how workers/business owners respond to my question. I do a majority of my work in Los Angeles in many shops owned by immigrants with limited English. Am I supposed to edit their replies so these hardworking folks speak in complete sentences just to make her happy?
Those things have been minor annoyances, but today's rejection is pure BS though. I'll be escalating matters this week.
Whosear,
No, the guidelines don't address that situation. The shop wasn't listed as a food truck either. It wasn't until I arrived at the location that I learned it was a food truck.
I had something similar but did the opposite. A local hardware store had closed and moved three blocks away. The shop gave the address of the old location. I took pictures of the old location and the signs that said that they had moved three blocks away (I could even see the new location from the parking lot). I was paid for the shop at the closed location rate. Because they require you to verify the location, I would go to the location regardless of its current validity.
I also had a location that I could not verify the location because there was NO cell phone coverage for about half a mile around that location. None. My shop was not accepted because I did not have an accurate location verified. They did not care that it was impossible.
I learned from these two experiences that the address/location verification is essential.
How strange, I would have assumed the address was incorrect on the shop if the food truck was parked just 1/2 a block away. I would try contacting the company directly like Sestrahelena mentioned.
I have had shops for which I knew in advance the address was wrong. Maybe the wrong town, maybe the wrong block, maybe something else. In some cases, I have contacted the MSC and been told to go there, take a photo, and report it as a wrong address. I was specifically told not to go to the right address. There are other MSCs that change the address. Unless told to correct the address myself, I go where the shop specifies, and report what is there.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I was told my shop was returned to me for revisions but when I looked, it was not returned to me and it was graded. They really need to get their act together!
When I reported to the scheduler that there is no station at the address I was given. I have been told to go to the gas station that is supposed to be audited and audit that one, even though the address is incorrect.
I've had a similar experience. A walgreens closed, relocated across the street and a block down. I've gone to the closed location, taken the pics and submitted the report. I guess when it is a food truck, which is mobile, I wouldn't have expected a 1/2 block difference to be a big deal.

I would LOVE to do a food truck shop!! I've never eaten from a food truck and think it would be so exciting to do. I hope everything works out for you.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
This same thing happened to me! I looked each time and nowhere did it have to put the whole conversation, only what the person answered when you asked. Glad it wasn't just me!
There's a new round of Visa debit card shops that was just released. There are even more picture requirements, and one requirement isn't made clear in the guidelines. You find out when you're filling out the report afterwards. Not worth it at this point.
Agreed! 2-3x more pics, and the additional ones are all for the purpose of us having to prove we're not lying.

Guess who got banned by Presto? Happened right after I made this post. LOL

Love your username! (But it's Blane, not Blaine...you know, like a major appliance).

Doing assignments since the days when reports were handwritten and faxed to the MSC.

More pics + more required written explanation of the entire visit = more chance of the shop being rejected.
The only shops through Presto that I'm willing to do at this point are the gas station car counting shops.
