I NEVER do the "round-up for charity" stuff when I make a purchase or any other third-party giving that involves a corporation as a collector/go-between. That is, indeed, giving them a charitable tax write-off.

There seems to be no end to the money making (or saving) schemes this company is involved in. I would not be at all surprised if the company actually owns the charity.

I've had too many surveys offered by MSC's that wind up not being entered due to tech issues on the provider's side of things, making for a lovely waste of my time. Avoid like the plague...
