Presto's idiocy

Has anybody ever received this message from Presto?

"For future reference, we wanted to inform you that your shop did not meet the requirements for acceptance. Because we found this after payment was issued, you are welcome to keep the payment."

No, I've never received that message. The e-mail you receive informing you that your shop was accepted also says that the acceptance is subject to change upon further review. I presume that upon further review that there was something key missing from the shop and the report had to be excluded.

I don't know about every MSC, but several schedulers from a variety of them have told me that there is some leeway on shops, but it depends on the client. Some clients are more flexible than others. While I generally agree there is a breakdown of clear communication at some MSCs between the client manager, scheduler, etc, and the editor, and this results in the editor being incompetent, it does hurt all involved when a shop cannot be used. I believe they do try to use reports that are not perfect, but they know what a client will and will not accept. It's possible they initially thought whatever was wrong with yours wasn't a big deal and would be accepted by the client or the editor simply missed it, and it was not caught until it was sent to the client. It would be nice if they had informed you what was wrong so you could make sure it does not happen again. In fact, if I were you, I would respond with just that.

I know exactly what the issue was: they didn't put anything in the guidelines about when the calls could be made, and even though I got the data they wanted, they didn't like when I did it. Hospital intake doesn't close; if you want the calls made during a specific time, you need to put that in your guidelines.

I'm not going to worry about it. At $3 per call and six calls, I didn't get rich off it. Stuff like this is why I avoid Presto.

They just felt the need to tell you that they screwed up? What good did that do?

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.

Who knows. Maybe it's a "she may have gotten our money, but we'll have the last word" kind of thing.

They can have the last word all they want.

Curious as to the use of the apostrophe in the title.

Is it a contraction, as in "Presto is idiocy", or a possessive?

I'm good either way.

Have synthesizers, will travel...

Yes, I received this message once. It was after I submitted a Visa Debit card shop for the cemetery down the street from my house. Obviously there is nothing to buy at a cemetery for less than $10 (or whatever wacky requirement was in place at the time) so I indicated that and was paid. Over a month later, I got the message below about this location. OMG, what...?! These people are wacky.

To the best of my recollection, I've never seen a phone shop on Presto.

You may not be the only person who got the message. Since it was their screw-up, I'm not sure what the point was in telling you. Were they hoping that you would say, "Oh no, you take the $3.00 back, it's okay!"

Yes, I'm overwhelmed by their generosity.

We're letting you know you messed up (because it couldn't possibly be our fault) but we're not gonna tell you how. Keep the change!
I’ve had TREMENDOUS problems with their reviewers on the beverage shops. Absolutely terrible. Asked me to lie or they would reject the shop.
Inconsistency at it's best.
IHOP closed location, got paid half pay with a thank you
pF Chang, closed location, no comment, full pay
iHOP closed location, same one as before but they reposted it so I took it. This time I got a nasty comment stating it is my responsibility to call before I go so you get zilch for payment.

What exactly is the closed location fee? Lol

They need some guidelines themselves!
What’s the fee for putting up with an incompetent editor? -lol-

I got one. EM shop, when I got there I had to use the restroom (old woman, long drive), I take my own supplies into restrooms, so it was no big deal, but there was no tp, and no paper towels. The CSR was busy, she had 2 people waiting in line when I walked in. As I was walking out of the restroom, after having taken the pictures while I was there anyway, the CSR walked past me carrying the supplies the restroom was missing. I hadn't introduced myself yet.

Now it says in most of the guidelines to give the CSR the benefit of the doubt if they actively clean while you are there. So I uploaded the restroom pics I already had, then I left a note for the editor that the CSR had customers, and they had cleaned the restroom almost immediately after I had taken the pictures. But the editor wanted it changed. Not worth fighting over for $12. I changed it and sent the editor an email telling the them to read what I wrote.
To be fair, this isn’t really Presto but the MSC using the Presto app for their projects. And in all the scenarios described here, the MSC is the same. So, ya know….!
Amazingly, the message I received wasn’t from that MSC.

Spoke too soon. I received this today regarding one of the "retail beverage" shops I did where the business at the address wasn't the business they were looking for:

"For future reference, we wanted to inform you that your shop did not meet the requirements for acceptance. Because we found this after payment was issued, you are welcome to keep the payment.

Reason provided by the reviewer:
"This is for quality control purposes. Your shops has already been paid."

Some quality control! They're the fools who put the same damn locations back on Presto after I said what they're looking for doesn't exist at the given address. I hope the shops are still available when I get home next week so I can once again say "not at this address" and collect my money for passing go.

I have gotten that. I got paid, i never knew what went wrong, and I carried on with my day! lol.
