Stay away from these idiots. I did a shop for them which a coffee purchase had to be made. This shop was in a *brand* gas station. Since this place has a Dunkin Donuts within it, the coffee receipt shows Dunkin Donuts.
They were all confused when I sent them the receipt. After straigtening them out about the receipt, they still refused to pay me. They paid me in the past with the same circumstances.
They admitted their directions were wrong and should have been updated.
Still no payment, and they said they will not pay me.
I will never, ever shop for them again. I followed their directions as in the past.

Calling a company "scum" and "idiots" will not improve negotiations. You may continue to have a problem after "straightening them out". As independent contractors, we should extend courtesy and respect even when we have differences. I shop for New Image and have not encountered issues.

That said, warnings against companies should be considered seriously. I always click on the name of the poster, which takes me to a screen where I can click on a link that gives me information about the poster. I can see how long that person has been a member of the forum and how many times he/she has posted. The most valuable link is the one that lets me view all postings. Here, I can look over everything posted and determine whether the poster is objective, and whether the attitude is mostly positive or mostly negative.

I have been pleased to work for New Image, and hope they will have more jobs available in my area.

What reason were you given for non-payment?

We have one of those type stores here. I believe coffee is available on the store side as well as the Dunkin Donuts counter though I'm not sure why someone would buy it from the store side.

I am not familiar with the shop.... Is the purchase of coffee central to the shop? Can you get a pen or pack of certs, something small that Dunkin does not sell to show that you visited the C-store?

huskie9 - you are completely out of line and just because somebody gives a differing viewpoint does not give you the right to put them on blast. I have not signed up with this company but based on your attitude your comments would certainly not make me think twice about doing it now. So it seems like your rage spewing was all for naught.

huskie9- I don't have problems with MSC's as the directions or guideline are spelled out. You knew from the previous time hat you were to get the coffee fron the cients company. Evedentely you decided to get it where you got it beforew even though you had a problem with them accepting your first receipt.You must be the person who is wrong on this matter. You also should not BLAST another poster on this board that is out of line. I don't know where you are from,but you need to learn manners about how to deal with people. Maybe your parents should have wacked your behind a few more times and taught you to respect other people.

Also, before I heard from you, I had been shopping north on I-35 all the way through Minnesota. Now that you've told me to stay in Texas, I can keep my routes under 600 miles one way and I betcha I can make some real money. Hoo Hoo!

I am surprised to learn I keep fees from going higher for other shoppers. You and I have both been taking the OTR shops. What does that say about the pair of us? Are we both keeping fees from going higher on the OTR shops? If you aren't doing them any more, does that mean the OTR shops down here in Texas will go up? You think? I never knew it worked that way. Thanks for the insight. My learning curve is somewhat steep and I am trying hard to catch on to mystery shopping.

Although we all need to vent, the company in question has been a favorite here. It's hard not to defend them when they're called "scum" and "idiots". The OTR shops are quick and easy, the reports are quick and easy, and they pay promptly. I can't think what else I want or expect. I'll continue to ponder it.

My understanding from your recent post to Mert and me is that they paid you the first time you did this wrong, but they won't pay you the second time you did this wrong. Who could have figured something like that might happen?

I don't play well with every company I've shopped with, but I try hard to play well with most of them. I've done some shops for which I have not been paid. The companies had their reasons for not paying me. Education in Texas is not free. Without exception, I still happily shop for every company which did not pay me for a shop due to my error.

These companies that did not pay me due to my error still deserve my courtesy and respect, and they get it.

I wish this site had a "like" button like Facebook does! MDavis - if there was a like button, I would have clicked it hands down on your response.

I have completed shops for New Image Marketing as well and have never had an issue. I do not agree that they are scum or idiots.

Why, aren't we a bunch of ingrates for seeing through your bull and telling you that you're the one who made a mistake ~ jeez, not once, but twice! On purpose! I notice you retired in 1997. Well, good for you. I quit working full time in 2002, and I'm 73. Chances are we're in the same age group. You know what, some mornings I get up and I'm already so mad I could spit. Ever have a morning like that? My goodness, it will surely sour up the bitterness level, won't it?

And you know what ticks me off? These young whippersnappers on this forum don't always behave. And those schedulers and MSPs, well, you can't tell them a thing. The insolent little brats won't take instruction at all. Talk about backtalk, well, I never saw such. Where they do get off having their own opinions? I appreciate that you brought up my genes, because I've been wanting to tell how special I am but I'm modest and I hated to bring it up myself.

So the family story is Mama's white side jumped right into the Indian Wars out of self defense. When Julius Caesar conquered a country, he sent occupation forces that originated somewhere else. It was his theory foreign soldiers would be less sympathetic and more willing to enforce harsh rule. To Germany, he sent black legionnaires from conquered areas of Africa. These black legionnaries mixed it up with German women, and we got Black Dutch. I am especially proud to be descended from these black legionnaires. And that's how I got my black side.

So, Husky9, that's my genetic story. I get real excited about it. I feel kin to just about everybody in the world. I'm pretty sure advice is not going to change those genes. Oh, wait, I forgot to tell you, I also have a half brother who's half Mexican. Additionally, I need to brag I am related to Pretty Boy Floyd, the Oklahoma outlaw, and to Johnny Ringo, one of the gunslingers at the OK Corral. You may have stayed up nights trying to figure out why I'm on this board so much. I'll share. After you pointed out I was messing up the business for everybody else, I gave that serious thought. Now I'm doing my best to keep myself under control. I've quit taking the real cheap shops, driving too far and spending too much to do them, and basically just messing up mystery shopping and keeping fees down for everybody else.

As a result, I don't have much work and I may starve to death. Oh well, I'm too fat for my good black dress anyway, which I'm going to need for the funeral after I starve to death. But here's a result on the bright side. I have a lot more time to stay on this board, which is more fun than a bunch of puppies.

What I can't understand is why I don't get more respect. I tell you, just take a look at my genetics. Who can top that? Am I outstanding, or what? Someone like me, who knows everything and has such a great personality should be treated with much more consideration. I stay on Ready Teddy alert to be helpful and let everyone know what's wrong with them. I love to share, and this is because of my giving nature. Who could criticise a personal philosophy like that?

The New Image convenience store shop is one of the easiest in the industry. It is hard to believe someone could mess it up TWICE. It was kind of them to not deactivate huskie9 after the second strike. It is obvious who is at fault.
New Image is the cream of the crop and deserve better shoppers than this.

I had never heard of this company until Antonio, their scheduler here, contacted me several months ago and offered me a huge bonus if I would do a CK shop in a rural town about 45 miles from here. Of course I accepted. Since then, I have done quite a few OTR and CK shops, both the ones requiring a store visit and the Late Night photo shops - very easy. And, they still offer the occasional bonus. I have had nothing but excellent experiences with them.

But, not sure what's going on now since I haven't seen any available shops for almost this whole month. I've been paid okay, though.

Huskie9 you say you retired in 1997 well tell you what I'll bet you couldn't do the job I did from 1989 until 2008 when I retired. For those 19 years i was a Corrcetions Officer for the Ohio Department of Rehabilation and Corrections. The alias you use is a way of making people think you are a big tuff man. You are probably a henpected husband who has to get there self gratification where and when they can.

I do approx 20 jobs a month for this company,The same as the shops mentioned above . If you read the directions you will see that if you cannot purchase a coffee from the store brand, you should buy a hotdog or a small fountain drink.
I have never had a problem with this company.I would reccomend it to all shoppers.
They pay once a month.
