IPSOS Screen wise Panel letter

The other day in the mail I received a packet from IPSOS screen wise Panel saying that my household was randomly chosen to join this panel. It gave me an code to type in..

It did not have not my name on the packet it just said current resident .

I have heard people taking surveys for gift cards and other things.. Has any one received this or know anything about this..

I do not want a bunch of junk email and I do not want to download anything on my computer.

If I decide to do this, I can always create another email account.

Shall I do this or just let it be?

Joining is opting in to sharing your Internet usage data in exchange for payment. There are a bunch of companies doing this, IPSOS collects for Google.
This is not product testing, it's literally just allowing them access to your home Internet through a monitoring device.
Surely the packet explains all of this?
BTW, they also offer surveys. Just search IPSOS iSay. In a bizarre twist, I've had them invite me to conduct a shop once post-survey (a survey completed on another platform entirely but it was one of theirs). That shop was for a place where I have never seen a shop otherwise advertised.
IPSOS is one of the prominant companies out there that conducts research for companies and governmental agencies across the world. Their mystery shopping arm is very small compared to the rest of what they do. They are a respected company. If you enjoy taking surveys and they offer compensation that is agreeable to you for the time spent I would not worry that they will use your data to target you. But everyone's level of suspicion is different so you have to make your own decision on this based on your beliefs.

Screenwise is not surveys, it's installing a monitoring device. I do lots of stuff for IPSOS but I won't touch that with a 10' pole.
OMG, iSay! The same questions over and over, each page taking forever to load. Then you're 20 minutes in and it freezes. Recommended for when you have absolutely nothing else to do and need some frustration in your day.
