Have you ever shopped for MCG?

Have any of you shopped for MCG? Management Consultant Group. I never see them talked about on this forum. I conducted a shop for them last month in a vacation destination and Gigspot still shows the report as pending validation. There's been no response from the support email address.

Yes I have worked for them. Most of their stuff is in New Orleans. I think the owners name is Bernard. Any how I got paid on all my shops, but I had to send them one payment reminder.

I used to work with them years ago when one of the New Orleans clients had an outlet in Los Angeles, and they always treated me well and paid fairly, but it's a small company that can take a while to got shops through editorial.

I'm pretty sure I've been duped by this company. I have emailed and left voicemails multiple times and have heard no response to my inquiry about the status of my shop. Over a month later and my report is still "pending validation." Stay away!!!

I did 2 shops for them early in the pandemic when they had a local Brazilian steakhouse that subsequently was taken over by a group notorious for not paying. I do not recall any issues with the company.

I see shops for MCG (they have some in Palm Springs and also in Huntington Beach.

i have never done one. They seem like lengthier scenarios with a restaurant and a bar visit. I can do other dining shops for less effort, so I never have bothered.

Yes, I would be irritated as well if you have a "pending" status on a shop from that long ago. But I would not rely on Gigspot either. Isn't MCG using shopmetrics software? Does it show pending in shopmetrics MCG site?

Just wanted to follow back on this and inform folks that I was paid. I have no idea why they don't respond to calls or emails, or have the report in "pending" for so long, but the important thing is they paid up.
