Anderson merchandising

Anyone work for them? Just started. They told me about 12 hours 8-12 am on Tuesday one more 4 hour on Friday and then another Saturday or Sunday. I worked last Monday and was sick later last week so I couldn't help out. But I go in this mon at 7 am again and looks like about 10 hours a week. I spent 4.6 hours puttin up a insurance card display, a music insert, ads that go on the door alarms, and then spent the rest of time putting new DVDs/cd releases. All work is given through a app that runs on an iPhone that they loan. Okay money. I was told $9.20 an hour.

That is a good number of hours but the pay scale is very low for merchandising. The work you cited is nothing I normally do, but each company has its own clients.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
got fired there a while ago... hours were actually 20 or so...couldn't get up for the 6 am start time for a place 20+ miles away, called in sick once, and had a miscommunication with my manager and another employee which resulted in me missing 3 days so they canned me

I haven't done this type of merchandising (it sounds boring to me) but aren't merchandisers considered ICs just like in mystery shopping? This thread gives off the impression that merchandisers are hired employees. Is that true?

Some Merchandising companies hire employees and other are IC's. Anderson hires employees.
Most of my work (multiple companies) is as an employee.
