Is Marketforce about to fire me? (resolved)

I just went to the blue portal to request shops and I see that I'm no longer able to do so. I still have four shops to complete this month but I can't sign up for any more. I've never had this happen before and I'm concerned because of how quickly they tend to drop shoppers and not give a second chance.

I did not receive any type of notice. I have not cancelled a shop with them in over 3 months. The last time I spoke with someone at MF they told me my account was in good standing with them because I had only cancelled 2 shops within a year.

I also find it interesting that I'm still allowed to go into the system to report shops. Would they prevent me from signing up for more shops and have me finish the ones I've committed to before saying, "See ya!"

Any thoughts?

Sincerely,

It doesn't look good because I've heard of MF doing this to shoppers (letting a shopper report assigned shops and then dropping the shopper). OTOH, this could just be a technical glitch. The only way to find out soon is to ask Help Desk.

Good luck.

This seems to be the way it usually happens. I have been told one day, without notice, you log in and the Web FX link is gone. That they did not un-assign the shops you currently have is a sign you didn't do anything bad. They usually let you complete all outstanding shops. They pay you at the regular time for all shops you have completed, you just can't get any more shops. If this is what it is, and if it goes according to the way it has gone with other friends, if you send an e-mail to the help desk you will get a response that "We're sorry, we're unable to offer you any more assignments." Then they usually state that they cannot explain to you because of confidentiality reasons.

I would e-mail the Help Desk because to see because sometimes it is just a technical problem and they fix it ... but usually it means separation and divorce.

From what I've heard, it doesn't seem to be anything you've done particularly. It could be that you have reached a certain number of shops, that you have done too many of a particular kind of shop (according to their computer numbers), or simply that they have a bunch of new shoppers in your area and are cutting the longer-term ones. It seems to happen to everyone eventually. After 4 years, I am probably living on borrowed time.
Check one more time to see if you have an outstanding receipt that didn't upload.

They send you an email regarding the receipt, then cancel your ability to select shops until you figure it out.
Thanks Austinmom and MistyH71. I sent MF two emails last night right after sending this post. I woke up to a response this morning that said exactly what Austinmom said it would. However, there were able to give me the reason. The issue is, I have done shops for them that included a shop variance. I know exactly what they are talking about (doing a regular order MD shop when a special order was required).

I also noticed that a receipt is missing for a shop I did early July. I had no idea because I wasn't sent a notice. I'm awaiting a response regarding that so that I can re-upload the receipt.

They reinstated me with a warning.

Sincerely,

Evelly they will stop this foolishness when they realize that they need you to do thoae shops that must be done in cash. Also a scheduler told me that it if they see you only accept bonused ahops they will stop your ability to self assign those.
What gets me with MD Shops is that whenever you report something did not go according to their expectations or policy, MD tries to blame the MS as if we are not reporting the right thing or it's not detail enough so it becomeas a variance report or invalidated.
I do merchandising for Market Force and other companies. Market Force DOES NOT want to pay you for any time to do a job. Their time estimators SUCK!!! ($8 an hour is a freaking joke) I just completed 3 jobs @ 4 hours each only because of a bonus, which I am due to be paid. I went to sign on today and my account is deactivated. I've been a retail manager and a supervisor so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. They are smart asses on top of that, but, they get it right back in their faces. They are offering a $75 bonus for jobs I have already completed and have 2 pending so I asked for the $75 bonus today by email even though it was already scheduled. My account is now deactivated and I don't know why when they're burning my phone up to do jobs for them. If they decide to try and screw me on my money, I will call Channel Partners, which is who the Walmart jobs are through, I will call Walmart, the BBB and anybody else I can think of. If you want to do jobs for them, wait for a bonus and don't drive far to do it. If you receive an email confirming a bonus on a job, keep the email for reference on payments. Don't work over without authorization or you won't get paid. They will screw you if you let them..don't let them. There's ways around that.
I work for MF and have not had any problems. I accept jobs I want to do. Sure, sometimes it takes me longer to do a report but I figure if I don't like the job I will not do it next time it comes up.

Forget the stress and get on with a happy life!
Hi, I am still new; but, I just encountered something similar. I was requesting shops and was getting every one I requested; then, my requests failed to get any response. I noticed they listings were still active and new ones appeared too.

I sent an email to Help-desk and actually got a phone call back. They explained: There is a limit on the number of this particular shop that can be done on a monthly basis. I had hit the number and could not have another one until the next month.

Two days later, we were into a new month and I got a call granting me my next assignment and a reminder that we were into a new month and everything is fine. Because of curiosity, I asked: Why is there a limit? True or Not, the response was two-fold: First, they were afraid targets may communicate and identify the shopper. Second, to diversify the incoming reports for more perspectives.

I thought it was worth mentioning in this post.
