Re: MarketForce Financial Problems??

I just want to know if anyone else is having any issues. I have heard from some other people who do shops that they haven't been paid yet. I have also heard them say that MF has started rejecting shops for weird reasons. It seems like they have less companies on their job board. This makes me nervous since I am waiting on payment from them.

Anyone else have any problems like this? Is this what happens before companies go out of business (or maybe get bought out)? sad smiley

I just did a search using the same parameters as always and pulled up 501 shops..seems like a lot to me...with a variety of clients. I haven't noticed anything different about shops being rejected, as in, it's not happened to me.
I get paranoid of these things because I have read the horror stories from other shoppers. Again, everyone's experience is different.
I get paid via direct deposit right around the 13th of every month by Marketforce and they have never been late so far. I pulled up shops in my area and there were about 80 of them. Haven't had any problems, personally.
Same as above about the direct deposit. It's not quite pay day so hard to answer your post. I haven't had any shops rejected, either.
Are you talking about last month cheque being late or direct deposit?

expect the unexpected
The issue for me is the last pay period which is late (I haven't gotten any rejected shops, thankfully). The issue for some other shoppers I know is that they haven't been paid at all; a couple of them said they just got shops rejected even thought they have done perfect work for the company previously. So, who knows what's going on... Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I think I'll hold off on doing any shops for MF just for now.
hmmm... I had to redo a picture for the first time but I fixed it and that was it. I haven't heard of any issues. The last pay period as in April or March? I was paid for March shops on April 11th via DD. I have pasted the payment information from their website. Shops from April should be paid next week at some point. I don't think anything is going on and wouldn't worry too much about it unless some more concrete information comes out. I haven't had any issues with payment from them, ever.

75. When do I get paid? How does payment work?
You are paid once a month for all shops completed and approved in the previous calendar month. For example, payment for all shops completed/approved in April will be sent in mid-May. Checks are issued no later than the 20th of the month. We highly recommend Direct Deposit as another payment option. Our shoppers who are enrolled in this program are paid earlier than the shoppers who are paid by paper check. You can sign up for Direct Deposit on our website through the Direct Deposit Options link of the Shopper Payroll section. Read all of the guidelines carefully and note the special security arrangements that cover this portion of the website. A notice of payment status is always posted on the website once we know the exact processing dates, so please do not e-mail or call our office requesting this information.
Thanks for the note. I do know their pay terms, it is just late, whereas other payments for prior periods were on time.

1. No.

1. No. Paid on time every month.

3. No. It is RARE for MF to reject a shop for just "any ol' reason"

4. Don't be nervous. They will pay, (if you did the shop correctly.)

5. No. I have not heard they are going out of business.

6. No. Don't listen to your "shopper aka/ other-people-that-told -you-that" because they may be reflecting...... on their own shop rejections.

7. Yes. I still can't stand their new system but other than that, I love Market Force smiling smiley
So are you saying you didn't get paid during the April pay period? If that's your problem and you get paid by check, I assume, your check may have gotten lost or sent somewhere else by the USPS. I would email the Helpdesk if I were you. Like I said, I get paid direct deposit each month. I have never had any shops rejected and don't know anyone else who has had problems.

Lately there seems to be a common theme that when a large established MSC has any issue they are experiencing severe financial problems. Remember the beginning of the year when a bunch of CORI clients were MIA. The speculation was rampant and since then virtually all of those clients have returned.

I just got back my computer and I am a little bit (1 month) behind in checking my payments. I know MF paid, but I haven't checked if they paid everything. So far in over a year they always paid 100% with no delay. I have had only 1 job rejected and it was 100% my fault (shopped the wrong location...same brand opposite site of the street...I didn't even see the right one LOL).
I have not had any problems at all with Market Force payments and they have never rejected a report.

I am not feeling RIKI's concern. Anybody whom has shopped for MF knows there pay schedule. The OP has heard......"about no pay and about shop rejections". Since she is "waiting on payment" so aren;t the rest of us. We don't see "less companies on their job boards" we see less jobs in our immediate radius area.

The OP also said <<<<<<<<<<<<<<"The issue for me is the last pay period which is late (I haven't gotten any rejected shops, thankfully). The issue for some other shoppers I know is that they haven't been paid at all; a couple of them said they just got shops rejected even thought they have done perfect work for the company previously. The last pay period is not late, it has not come yet. The OP does not appear to have worked for MF. That is why she "hasn;t gotten any rejected shops yet thankfully." Maybe she is paranoid, she says _---"I'll hold off doing ANY shops for MF just for right now"<<<<<<<<< not any MORE shops." What is she paranoid about?confused smileyconfused smileyconfused smiley While the OP is paranoid, I am not.

The OP is waiting on payment from MF; therefore the OP has apparently worked for them. The Op should clarify what is meant by the last pay period. Do you mean shops done in April which will pay in May, or shops done in March which were paid in April. The Op should also clarify whether they get paid via DD or paper check. this will help us understand the issue a little more.
Have never had problems with Market Force paying on time. The only problem I have is having to put in a 200 mile radius on the search site and how slow their site is when loading new jobs. I thought the older web site was more efficient.
I worked for them for 11 years and got fired last week because I rescheduled a MCD's shop one hour late!?!?!

They would not hear any excuses... After 11 years, I thought maybe a little respect wouldve existed. I hadnt had problems before, and suddenly I was declared subpar???
I was also told my services was no longer requires over 3 years ago. After a scheduler recommend that I get a second account with a family member's name so I could do 2 breakfast shop or 2 shops in the same time period. And instead of 4 shops per day I could do 8.
I refused and I was dropped.
No big lost I found better burger place. Also found companies that pays better.

expect the unexpected
Never had any issues with MF. Always paid, tons of shops available in my area most of the time. Editors easy to work with. Love the self-assignments, but the new search function is a bit slower...

I'm sure you know already but in case you don't: this had nothing to do with you. This had everything to do with them being subpar.

Their loss, not yours. Shop on.
Personally, I'm waiting for my first payment from them (for my April shops), which I believe should be via Direct Deposit. It seems like the statement of what I am to be paid for has been up on their website for a while, although I'm sure it's only been since the last of the month. For me, waiting for that first payment from a new MSC always seems to take so long... both because it's often six weeks or more, and because I'm wondering if all my paperwork is in place, if there will be an issues, etc. And, yes, if there are heavy reimbursements, I might wait until I get paid for the first few before going there again... just to make sure that it all goes smoothly.
MF paid direct deposit today. It does say it can take up to 2 business days to see. Mine is already in there. Checks should be mailed next week sometime. No fear... payment was good and they always have been on this end. smiling smiley
I seem to recall that the first direct deposit may be delayed.
