What should I do when I forgot something on audit (Marketforce)

As I was filling out the paperwork tonight, I realized that I had forgotten to get the brand name/model of a cute little device with a cute little name.

It's a Marketforce audit.

So, I'm trying to decide what the best thing to do is.

In the space provided, I wrote: "Did not capture brand/model." I figured that apologies wouldn't help.

I'm driving past there tomorrow. I could stop in and ask them for the information.

Should I do that, and e-mail it in? Or, wait for them to contact me? Or, be a bit more proactive, and e-mail them now, saying that I'm going to get the information? Or, something else?

When is the deadline? If you have time, get the info and enter in the report before the deadline. Or if you are chummy with
the scheduler, she may be accommodating and allow you to email her the info.

Market Force (not CFA) schedulers are usually understanding. If it is CFA, you may be unlucky and get one whose policy is
if there is a problem, don't waste time. Just cancel the shop and give it to someone else.
Can you go to a website for the manufacturer or store and look to see if you recognize the model? Reading the names of the models might stir your memory. I did this before on a jewelry shop where I distinctly remembered what a piece of jewelry looked like but needed to put the name in the report.

Can you call the store and describe the unit? They may know exactly which one you're talking about.... Or is that a no-no on an audit?

Thank you! I already sent in the report, so that it was done within 12 hours. I'll just drop by the place and look at it. I tried looking at a website to see if I could recognize it, and all those little black boxes look alike.
The MSC will let you know if they will not accept the report. I have had to go back to a shop on occasion. Makes me really mad at myself.
Thanks for the advice. I went back down to the store and grabbed the necessary information. In the mean time, Quality Control sent me a polite form-letter saying they needed the info, and my report became available again, so I could add what was necessary. Obviously, I don't want to do that again, but they certainly handled it in a civilized way. Definitely a good company for a beginner.
They are a very good company. I have never had a problem - but have had to go back to a location - because of my own lack of detail not theirs.
I remember one time I did a shop and came home and clicked the link to report it and duh!!! noticed the time was off. I did it too early. (I've never done that before) Anyway, since is wasn't too far from me, I waited and did the shop again and reported it. = perfect! Whew!

Ask me if I had it that day with FF..
