This should be quite an adventure. I will be doing my first Sunoco shop tomorrow. I enjoyed all the discussion here. Doubtless, there is more to come!

I'm backup for about ten this weekend for $75 each. I hope someone who got it for $10 bails!

I haven't read all my materials yet, so forgive my question. But, where do customers obtain the emblems that will qualify them for winning our award? Are they by the counter, ready to take? Do they have to be requested from the cashier?

Oh great. Tomorrow is going to be heavy rain all day. I have to drive an hour each direction for this. Well, as long as we are paid, and I am safe, I will be thankful.

They should have decals in holders on the pumps. And print your forms seperately don't go with what the MSC has for the printed version. They will deduct points for turning it in that way.

print the form out from the guidelines since any winners
need to sign it and the signature is on the bottom of that
page...dont print it from where you enter the form

I'm starting to get very confused by this. I have no Sunoco hat, vest, or cards, and I'm to expect people to give me their names, addresses, and license plate numbers based off a piece of paper handed to them by someone hanging around a gas station parking lot, on the promise that a card will be mailed to them.

Fun times ahead, I can feel it.

you would be surprised how trusting people are.

But if you want, take one of the Sunoco decals
that are next to the pumps and stick it on your
shirt. Just take it off when your done so you are
not walking around with it on all day.

Then you will be official.

I have six of these, and I had to call one location for their address, as it wasn't listed except in the barest of details.

It's located between a pawn shop and a bail bonds place, across the street from a liquor store. So, looks like I'll be hanging out in the ghetto for an hour, trying to get people to give me all of their info.

dont be surprised if you wait there the hour and no one
has a sunoco sticker on their car...that's the best you
can hope for.

I just got assigned another that I applied as a backup shopper on. $75.

I just got assigned two for tomorrow for $75. I can't find the survey that the winner is supposed to fill out? I have the authorization letter for the store and the letter for the winner, but not the survey. HELP!

dmh, it is the "Sample Location Survey."

you are suppose to fill it out for the winner, despite the
fact that they keep saying have them fill it out.

Also a few of the questions on the sample survey are
actually questions for you to answer for the location
one time. Pure laziness on the msc's part, but
that surprises no one.

I invested in a nice lime green vest for myself. It is cloth with a radio pocket on the outside and velcro seals. I carry my camera in the radio pocket when doing shops for another MSC.

The guidelines are awful. My resident frog in my backyard could do a better job.

This shop has been a mess from day 1. My experience. I did one of these in July for $10. One winner easy. I submitted shop sent remaining cards and materials back and got a 9 or 10 on shop. Week or so later they bonus the shops to $25 so I take one. i wait 3 weeks and finally get a envelope with the gift cards in the mail no hat or vest. I emailed and got nasty response of how I was supposed to keep the vest and hat for other shops. I did not have any other shops after first one and did not plan on having any more at $10. I asked if I should keep the hat and vest this time in case I signed up for more later. Another nasty response of I need to sign up for all these shops I want now they don't have money to waste to keep reshipping the vest and hat each time I take another shop. I also can't hold on to the hat and vest if I have no other shops scheduled. So I applied for a bunch of these at $60 to $80 as a backup but won't know if the original shopper flakes until 9/1/14. According to them I should send the vest and hat and remaining cards back today (sat) or tomorrow (sun). I will keep them till Tuesday when I should now if the original shopper flaked and I have to shop them. When the rules change 3-4 times on different parts and requirements it can be aggravating which is why I follow the guidelines to best I am able keeping common sense in mind. Next year I will negotiate a fair price from the beginning.

To help everyone out sunoco was kind enough to pay where the spotters will be today

Greaaaaaat.....I did one no problem. No one with a sticker showed up. The other location was a small two bay service shop with one pump. Closed on Sundays. No $60 for me on that one.

Dmh426, was this the only day? If so, what is the closed location fee? You should receive something if you were not required to verify the hours ahead of time and you made the trip.

Do we have to photograph the winner's Sunoco sticker, or just the winner? Never mind, I see it must include the sticker.

Worst day ever.

I have been spit on, had my hair yanked, ridiculed, treated like a servant, had people cheat, and was assigned to a location that doesn't exist.

how do they cheat?
