MARKETFORCE FEEDBACK : $7.00 cellular chain shop??

How is their $7.00 cellular store shop???

I am only asking because I am constantly near one location of them during my day job.
But they do not give you enough details without signing up first and I don't want to cancel out thereafter if the shop is not worth the time and effort.

Thanks Much. Stay Cool, we are melting up here !!!

I wouldn't go out of my way to do one, but they are a filler to do between shops if you will be in the area.

The reports are short and require little to no narrative.
Like lisams901 said, short and easy reports - I do them on my way or back from more lucrative jobs.
Thanks, I was wandering myself. There is a company that pays $15.00 for cell phone company shops. I'm afraid to take them becasue I don't know what they require. The company does pay really fast though.
I sometimes do cellphones for a company that pays $20. It requires a written narrative, but the scenarios are less restrictive and I would rather make $20 for my time; every time I have done one for MFI, I have ended up having to wait too long and to spend too long in the store trying to get through the entire scenario. It might vary in less crowded markets than major cities.

One of the large malls I shop at has three kiosks for the same cell phone provider. I have no idea why they need three. The mall is not that huge.
Call a day ahead and find out where the kiosk is that you are supposed to shop to make sure you get the right one. winking smiley

I just finished up 8 shops at cell stores but I was shopping broadband services. Unfortunately, you are supposed to let the salesperson bring up broadband and none of them did. I had to go through 8 cell phone presentations at stores that had between 2-4 phones to select from, no service in rural areas that I travel in, etc. It was hard work and then I had to report on all of it. The broadband part was easy and the reports are easy though so maybe it will get easier. They were $13 each.
There are actually two companies doing this cellular company--one pays $7 for a mostly "check the correct block" report, and the other $13 for a bit more narrative. There are a lot of these shops available in my area.

I recently did some cell phone shops for MF. The instructions (CP) specifically said, "do not call before performing the shop." I did not call them, one location was out of business, and I was paid about half the normal fee. I felt this unfair, in part because I was not allowed to pre-call, and second, because the scheduling, travel, and reporting take the same amount of time as it it were a full shop; the actual time in the store is short in comparison.
With Marketforce? I wonder if this is something new? I have done several that are closed; I have always been paid the whole fee.
I was thinking the same thing. But then again my closed store was a different client and there was a preliminary phone call that was picked up by a fax machine, so no way whether I could determine from a distance if they were open or not.
I've had some closed locations with MF get the full fee, but some only get 1/2. Not sure what the difference is.
So far I've done cell phone shops and an office supply company shop that were closed. The first one I went to without calling, but the others I called and they were closed, so I didn't even make the trip. After the phone call I did the report, said they were closed, reported the results of the phone call and got the whole fee. I did see in the instructions of a newer job (cell shop) that they now want a picture of the closed location. If I have to drive over and take a picture, I will want the whole fee.......that's as hard as doing the shop....
Interesting comments. I did not complain to MF about the reduced fee, largely because they (and other companies) "hold the gavel" when it comes to canceling us without explanation. Sometimes being an "independent contractor" seems very close to being "expendable."

I have been paid for a cell store that was closed, but I did call in advance and get their hours. However, when I arrived during those hours, the store was closed and no one was there. I took a photo of the dark store and they paid me in full.
