NOPE. I emailed them this morning and was told they could do direct deposit on the 19th and still be within their guidelines after I said how come it was always the 10th forever and then the 12th, the 14th, etc. I'm sorry but you might have changed your guidelines but a heads up might be nice, not just when you get around to doing it. I've got a mortgage payment to make and THOUGHT I would have my almost 800 dollars by the 16th when it was due long before.

I got purple portal this morning. However blue hasn't even STARTED which IMHO is just plain simple unadulterated bull***t.
MFI hasnt paid for me either this month, and its really getting aggravating, to not have the money on time. Seems that they say checks are mailed on the 20th, and DD is done prior to that, so like that above user said the 19th, is prior, but they could at least tell us ahead of time, before they go switching the dates each month.
We are excited to announce that we are in the process of rolling out the new options that will finally give us the opportunity to offer our valued Canadian shoppers Direct Deposit later this month AND to be able to start paying our Canadian shoppers in Canadian Dollars starting with September shops.

We appreciate your patience with payroll this month as we are releasing this new code and implementing these new processes. This is a very complex process that we have been working on for several months now and we want to make sure that we get it right – for you! We are having daily meetings with our programmers and QA test group to make sure that we are all aware of current progress; so much of the final implementation could not be put into place until after all September shops were completed. As of right now, we are currently on track to submit direct deposits to US Shoppers' banks on Monday October 17th.

Checks will not be printed until after the US Direct Deposits are made. All checks are scheduled to be printed no later than the 25th of October but any changes in this schedule will be posted here so please watch the Messages carefully for updates as they are available.

We do apologize for any slight delays that you may notice as a result of these changes, but these changes are necessary for our Canadian Shoppers and it will also put us in a position to potentially offer direct deposit twice a month (instead of 1x a month) in the 1st or 2nd quarters of 2012. You, our Shoppers, are greatly appreciated and we are always looking to improve our processes and systems to support you. Thank you, again, for all that you do for us and we will keep you posted on any changes in the dates noted above.
No offense but I could care less about Canada as I live in the United States and did my work here, have bills to pay here and pay taxes here.

Love.It. ROTFLMAO!
JBurnette -- Thanks for that information; however it would have been nice to have been notified with this same information at the beginning of October. I schedule my bill pay based on when I believe I will get paid from various MSCs; this delay now puts me in a bind.

I do like my neighbor Canandians and wish you well in implementing the new pay system.
To be fair, the message about delayed payments was up on the shopper home page for a few weeks now. Although, it would have been helpful if they had sent it out in e-mail to make sure we all see it.
Where? The last one before it was this one:

Calling All AAA Members

Are you a member of AAA Auto Club?

Check out the quick and easy shops we have available at AAA!

To find these shops quickly, sort your Potential Shops list:
Click WebFC Select Shops
Click Shop Type column header to sort alphabetically.
AAA Shops will be listed with the shop types Service or Telephone Shop.

They put them in chronological order. I agree an email would have been nice. Plus the fact that when asked no one seemed to know what was going on. Understandably things happen but an email in a situation like this makes sense.

I just spit out my drink laughing at this.
While it's nice that this new system will benefit the Canadian shoppers, our pay for this month is LATE and those of use who count on it for groceries and bills are IN NEED of our pay. The purple portal went 27 days between payments, and the only response I got was "we pay twice a month." Does that mean I'll be getting a payment next week and wait another 27 days before you pay again? This morning on my way out to do merchandising jobs ( including 2 for the purple portal) I am going to stop and turn in cans & bottles so I can buy milk and hamburger for dinner. Any comments, JBURNETTE1981?

Update: my account also says direct deposit 10/14/2011- my bank account online says "nope"

Jaomom- I tried giving that excuse to my mortgage company. Guess what - whose going to comp me for the 48.81 late payment I have now because MFI totally dropped the ball.

And while I am sure this is TERRIFIC for Canadian shoppers - it is NOT our issue but it has become our problem now.
Interesting that this is from the company who is one of the least tolerant regarding late submissions and/or errors.

Agreed. My MFI account shows direct deposit 10/17/11. My bank processes those first thing in the morning and account shows NADA. I called them, since they can "see" direct deposits pending for tomorrow already? Nothing from MFI.
Mine says on MFI direct deposit 10/14/11. It usually shows up after 9 I've learned (credit union) with everything else going in and out. I don't know if they can see what is pending, etc.

I am sick of this runaround from MFI. I just emailed them and got a cut and paste of that message about the processing that went on this weekend. I wrote back and said "Yeah I can READ but I specifically asked you what the update is?"
Gets better:

Hi,

Here is the latest update from our Shopper Messages page.

Please continue to check this message board for additional updates to our September Shopper Payments.

As we notified you on Friday, Direct Deposits have been sent to our originating bank, but we are still awaiting confirmation that the file has been processed. Once we receive confirmation, at this time, we believe that the earliest that you will see your Direct Deposit payments in your account will be Tuesday, October 18. Please note that this could be Wednesday, October 19, however.

Checks will not be printed until after the US Direct Deposits are finalized.

We sincerely apologize for the delay this month, and our long-term shoppers all know that this delay is highly unusual for Market Force. We want to reassure you that this delay is only due to the system upgrades.

Thank you, again, for your patience, your trust, and your understanding.
