Secret Shopper and A Closer Look payments

Has anyone received their checks from either one of these companies? They were mailed on November 20th. I haven't received them and wasn't thinking about it until I received some checks today that were postmarked on the 28th.

I'm more concerned with Secret Shopper, who will reissue you a check only if you agree to a $35 stop check fee...which would defeat the purpose, as I'm only expecting $20 from them.

I got one from A Closer Look on 11/23.

thanks. I have a PO BOX so if it was mailed on the 20th, it should have arrived on Thursday, but given the holiday I pushed back my expected arrival date to 12/28...but today is Friday and I received checks that were mailed this past Monday already. I guess I have no choice but to wait until Monday.

My checks did not arrive today. I guess they are lost forever and I am out of my secret shopper payment, as they say they can't resend it. A closer look said that I have to wait until December 20th.

I have never had a problem receiving payments from ACL. Their web site will tell you when the checks will be mailed out. I received mine on the 27th.

I've never had a problem getting paid from A Closer Look, and they are actually one of my favorite companies to work for. Nice folks, who pay promptly. I wish they had more shops that weren't for reimbursement only.

I've never done any shops for Secret Shopper so I can't comment on them.

I also received a check from ACL today. They always pay towards the end of the following month. Never had a problem with receiving payment from them.

I just got my ACL check today, but sometimes they show up at the beginning of the following month. Don't worry. I've never not been paid by ACL.

I love working with ACL as they have great shops and I get paid on time. I too wish they had more shops that were not just reimbursement only.

As for the Secret Shopper issue, I think that's wrong that they will charge YOU the stop check fee. You have to get paid; it's not your problem that their check got lost in the mail, although neither is it their fault. However, they are the one with the bank account. That said, is there any way you can sign up for direct deposit or PayPal with them?

ACL's web site says that this month checks would go out on the 26th. Mine was postmarked the 26th and arrived on the 29th. "Reliable" is my word for ACL.

I also received a check dated 11/26 and it arrived yesterday 11/29.

I got my check from "A Closer Look" on 11/29/12. They always pay on time.
