National Shopping Service

Am having a bad experience with this MSC. Performed a shop in March, they claim they sent a check in April but nothing's ever come. I've called and emailed I get no practical response (i.e., I've still not been paid). When I call I never speak to the same person twice and with each call I get a different excuse and another promise of "We'll get back to you tomorrow." which has never happened. And yet I still get multiple phone calls and emails asking me to perform the same shop I have yet to be paid for! When they called again a couple days ago, I told the caller I can't do their shops because they've never paid me! He got all sad because they were really counting on me being a dupe again. I told him I was being prudent.

I worked for them for years and did about 6 retail shops monthly with no problem. They haven't had their big account since Dec. 2011, saying it will
be in May, nope, not yet. I think they may be in a bit of trouble due to losing this client,, but I was paid for a shop I did in March..it took 6 weeks, but I feel they are a sand up company, when I call, I always get one of three schedulers who are above nice and helpful. This has taken a big chunk out of my monthly pay.....Give them a chance.

I also reach someone every time I call. I can get all sorts of help when I'm doing a shop for them, but when it comes to paying... that buck stops with them.

Really, what's so hard about cutting a new check for a lost one? (assuming that is what happened...) Why won't anyone step forward and say, 'I'm going to take responsibility to fix this'? I've been told several times that it's the responsibility of Payroll, but wouldn't you know?, she's not hear today; she'll call you tomorrow; she's in a meeting and will call you back; I'll hand deliver this message and make sure she calls you by the end of the day, and so on.

I've gotten several frantic call asking me to pick up a shop. I indulged them once, for a $35 bonus, but my impression is that they are a bare-bones, unprofessional group who can't seem to run their company with any efficiency.

The shop itself is not hard and getting a large bonus is very nice -- that's if I ever see it. >Sheesh<
I'm sorry, I have never been stiffed by them.

Is this NSSN or a different one that is just NSS?
NSS (Nat'l Shopping Service) not NSSN.

ldevere,

It sounds like it's time to call them up and tell them you have been calling for the bookkeeper for X months who never returns your call. If she doesn't call you
by 5 PM tomorrow, you are reporting the company to the Better Business Bureau and posting a warning not to work for this company on every shopper internet site in existence. Then do it.

I do not have the same experience same as you but I can say that if you would contact the head office than you get proper answer or solution.

I have also shopped for NSS for many years, off and on, and have never had a problem getting paid.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart..."
They were one my first's, and after 6 years with them, have been supportive, paid on time, and a pleasure to work for and with.....I have spoken with Matt and the schedulers for the upscale retail.....always dependable and nice with a bit of humor thrown in......

National Shopping Service personnel are reliable.
The company pays just like it says it will.
If you mess up, don't expect to get compensated unless you can clear the mess up.

I am speaking from experience.

Waiting around for the bonus!
