Mysteryonlineshoppers.com?-- AVOID!!!

Stumbled over this and made inquiry. Waiting for them to contact me back.

Anyone have any experience with them? Thinking this might be something to do when the weather is bad. Of course the website makes it look like lots of fun for tons of money, I suspect it's a lot of work for peanuts, but has anyone tried them?

Okay..... so do I want to be the first?

They sent me my first list of websites to visit. I suspect it will take far more than the 1-2 hours. the pay is quoted by the hour, which I find odd, but I think you log through their website so maybe they track your time themselves. I have two days to do the list.

I guess I'll try one and see what's involved. I have to do it from my other computer because I have to use a certain browser and it's not the one on this computer. Seems convoluted so far.

Was really hoping someone here had encountered them before. I googled Mystery shoppers online sucks but nothing came up on them. Either they're too new to have a hate page yet or they're legit. Guess I'll be the guinea pig and find out. smiling smiley

Let us know what you think of it. Good luck hope it's worth your time.
Thanks. I'll do a review here after I do their reviews there, LOL.

DON'T EVEN GO THERE.......

You're doing a bunch of online "request quotes" stuff and I tried two of them and was asked in multiple places to provide my REAL contact information. The instructions are vague and do not appear to be attempting to garner legitimate information about the websites. I suspect the whole purpose of this is that MSO will be paid for the addresses and phone numbers that are harvested. I was asked to provide a screen shot proving I had submitted the request, and to email that screen shot to the "scheduler" with "comments" about the site.

No questions, no report to submit, just "comments." Well, I gave her comments all right.

The second one I did was to get a price quote for a new car. I was led to a "fill in your information" form (after already filling it out on the first page and being asked to fill in a loan application, which I bypassed) for a LOCAL car dealer here where people KNOW me. (I was on a town council committee with the owner once.)

There did not appear to be any legitimacy to the "shop" at all.

Luckily I gave an email address I don't use and my screened Google Voice number and my PO Box so I can throw the junk mail into a handy recycle bin our post office provides.

anyway . . . I wasted an hour of my time with this; don't waste any of yours on it.

Good job, itsasecret....way to scout it out for us......
I sent her an email after the first one I did, with the photos, and a vague comment about the site being slow to respond, and I immediately got a response from the scheduler saying I'd done it right.

A FEW MINUTES later I ran into the issue with the second one, wrote to her my concerns and comments about that one, including the screen shots I'd taken, told her I "wasn't inclined to continue with the project" (I'd edited out a line I almost wrote about taking me off their list) and it is now more than 15 hours later and I haven't heard a word from her.

Which pretty much confirms it was all a scam to get my information, as I thought, because otherwise why wouldn't she have written back, clarified the instruction I said was vague, and encouraged me to go on? She had been up and answering emails just about 15 minutes previously; even if she'd gone to bed I'm sure she's up by now.

She knew she was busted, that's why.

AND, I have gotten TWO emails today (obviously auto-responses based on them being sent before the dealership would have opened yet) from the LOCAL dealer that I DID NOT want my information to go to. So they sent it to them even though I didn't fill out the form for that dealer.

Glad I stopped with two. I've already unsubscribed from the car insurance quote system I signed up for on the first site I had to go to. When I get some time I'll go out to my spam bucket and unsubscribe from everything else that's come in, but I'll probably just have to abandon the email address eventually.

Thanks for letting us know. It stinks to get used by people. Your right she knew she was busted you will never here from her again.
I appreciate your feedback on this website, gig, ItsASecret. I was considering giving this a whirl myself. You saved me a lot of trouble. Thank you!

Wow, I just realized this company is mysteryonlineshoppers.com, not mysteryshoppersonline. Modifying the title on the first post.

I can't believe the amount of spam I have gotten just from the two sites I went to. I am SOOO glad I used one of my "don't use them" email addresses. I get a spam report every day, but occasionally something leaks through to my in box. One of them was insurance, the other was car shopping and the titles and email addresses all pretend to be about one of those two things but the underlying message is something entirely else. I keep blocking and deleting but they keep changing the parameters. At some point I'll have to deactivate the email address.

Thank God I didn't do all 20 sites!!!!

Where did you get the address? This one as written does not exist, but it is close. BTW, there is no business by that name registered with the Secretary of State.

Figures. I got it from the email from the so-called scheduler who gave me the assignment.

She probably doesn't exist either.
