I sent her an email after the first one I did, with the photos, and a vague comment about the site being slow to respond, and I immediately got a response from the scheduler saying I'd done it right.
A FEW MINUTES later I ran into the issue with the second one, wrote to her my concerns and comments about that one, including the screen shots I'd taken, told her I "wasn't inclined to continue with the project" (I'd edited out a line I almost wrote about taking me off their list) and it is now more than 15 hours later and I haven't heard a word from her.
Which pretty much confirms it was all a scam to get my information, as I thought, because otherwise why wouldn't she have written back, clarified the instruction I said was vague, and encouraged me to go on? She had been up and answering emails just about 15 minutes previously; even if she'd gone to bed I'm sure she's up by now.
She knew she was busted, that's why.
AND, I have gotten TWO emails today (obviously auto-responses based on them being sent before the dealership would have opened yet) from the LOCAL dealer that I DID NOT want my information to go to. So they sent it to them even though I didn't fill out the form for that dealer.
Glad I stopped with two. I've already unsubscribed from the car insurance quote system I signed up for on the first site I had to go to. When I get some time I'll go out to my spam bucket and unsubscribe from everything else that's come in, but I'll probably just have to abandon the email address eventually.
