Email or call the help desk. The question is why are you out of Marketforce. Did they deactivate you because you flaked or messed up too many shops or was there another reason. I was deactivated due to inactivity because of an illness. When I was ready to shop again I emailed the help desk and they re-activated me.
It depends on what they booted you for. I know of shoppers who had 'flaked' on shops because of a string of mishaps--family crisis, car problems, overwhelmed, etc. In many ways they really needed to take a break from shopping to get their lives in shape. When they approached MF after a reasonable period of time out, showed appropriate regret that things had gotten out of control and promised never, ever, ever to do it again, MF let them back in on a very limited basis which eventually worked back to normal status.
When I moved from one state to another I took a year off. I emailed MF and they allowed me back. All I had to do was promise to take shops regularly. The few months I have taken a break since, I try to pick up one MF shop to keep them happy.
I was booted out twice. After the first time, I called and was reactivated. I was asked why and was told it was a computer error. After the second time, I found out the reason. Our local mall has three stores that are all shopped by MF. My shop times were too close. Despite the fact the three stores are less than 10 seconds walk from each other, I realized I must have 20 minutes between shops (so I have time to write down my notes). Just call and ask and you can probably be reactivated.
I'm amazed that I have not been deactivated. I backed out of shops at the last minute on two occasions. Another time I totally forgot I was assigned a shop. Another two times I lost the receipt. WHOA. Still a shopper with them smiling smiley I'm amazed.
I never tried to get back in.......guess it depends on the reason you were let go.

Live consciously....
The odd thing is that it seems as if people who mess up are allowed a second chance. But, people who have just been let go for no apparent reason cannot get back in.

Same here. In the past, I cancelled a few jobs at the last minute due to scheduling conflicts, disagreements with the pay, and one medical emergency. I haven't worked for them since last year and they recently offered to auto assign me for some upcoming inventory jobs next fall. I'm starting to think some of those people who were unfairly booted out was probably due to a glitch in their system.
You know it's funny how some people say they have been deactivated for not taking any shops for a year. I'm pretty sure I went two years and change without taking a shop at one point and they never deactivated me from their MS portal. I have gone even longer without taking a theater assignment from that portal and am still active there (not that it matters, as none of them pay enough).
They let me back in after 5 years. I'd do it just to see a free movie or build standees back then which is fun. I just started up again recently for building standees with my daughter who is in high school and she gets all the money from it. Educational and much better pay than her babysitting or working fast food/retail. She loves it. We have one today that's expected to be 4 1/2 hours and rated difficult. FUN!
I wrote to the help desk, asking to be reinstated, but cannot find their phone number. Is it best to try and contact a scheduler, or the actual help desk? I have read on different threads that it would be better to contact a scheduler, as they tend to be more helpful.

Could anyone give me advice on this?

Thanks so much!
Brigid, I got a call from MF today. I can give you the California number if you need it.
Their phone number is buried in the FAQs section., #92, to be exact.

After they deactivated me, I just moved on. I now make more money and less shopping. There was no reason given. I never cancelled a shop or reschedule. All my reports were accepted except for one where I had used a debit card instead of cash and I redid that shop. Deactivation came shortly after my wife had applied with them. I did over a hundred shops for them. I still have the certificate of 100 jobs complete.

Thank you, Ninamason! I cannot seem to access the FAQ page atm, so if you could send me the number, I would be most grateful! grinning smiley
I'm sorry, I should have provided that, instead of where it was located. The main # to MF is 1-800-669-6526.

I sent them e-mail few times and they activated me for few shops they blocked me in the past.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
Anyone can get back in. The question is, how much effort are you willing to expend to do so?

I have done everything that I know to do. The only thing that they have said is that they found an association between myself and another shopper. I don't know any other mystery shoppers in the flesh, so I have no idea what they are talking about. Michael, if you have any suggestions I would be happy to hear them! I have called and written them.
Have you possibly logged into their website from a public computer, maybe at a library?

Brigid, you might contact them and speak with them again, but there are many reasons for MF deactivation, and shoppers aren't always told the reason. Sometimes it's a mistake (your E-mail refused some of their communications) or a time-lapse issue (you were inactive too long or your telephone number changed). In those types of cases, it is usually reletively easy to get back in. When MF deactivates a shopper for a specific reason - and the "association with another shopper" is a killer - I've never known a shopper to get back in. If you have already called and written, my advice would be to accept it and move on. There are lots of other companies.
I've been deactivated several times by them. The reason is my email service was running maintenance when they sent an email and it bounced back as a bad email address. I would just email the help desk and they got be set back up in no time.
I shopped for Marketforce for over three years regularly, most recently completing about 20+ shops a month. I enjoyed it and depended on the extra income to pay off some debt. Then they emailed me out of the blue and said that I had been dropped due to reports with errors which would have been discussed with me at the time. No one discussed errors with me and I on occasion have had quality control email me with follow up questions, usually if I report on bad service or something strange happened during a shop (like when a fight broke out between a customer and an employee). But I hadn't had any recently, much less multiple. I tried to get them to explain and they said that I had more than three QC flags in a year (or 6 mths, I cannot remember). So just like that, no thanks for working for us for three years and I lose that income. I asked how I can get reinstated and they didn't answer my questions over email. I called and left a message and no call back.

Does anyone know how long to get reinstated after this? I just want to be able to make some money and they have a lot of shops in my area. Plus, when they do a bonus they pay really well.
I wish you luck, Alice, but I have not known anyone to get reinstated after being deactivated for QC flags. There are a lot of other companies. There's a great list of 200 companies at the bottom of the page, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies.
I was deactivated for some unknown reason in 2011. I asked to be reinstated recently when I heard they had picked up a client that was shopped by one of my other MSCs. Was told they couldn't reinstate me, but didn't give a reason why. Oh well.
If you were dropped for problems with reports, I doubt you could get back in using your real name and personal information.
