Company Payments

Is there a thread somewhere on this forum that details how each company pays their shoppers (physical check, PayPal, direct deposit, etc.) and how often? What are the pros and cons that you guys have with each type of payment? Direct deposit is convenient but my routing numbers have changed and it's a pain to update it across every company I have it listed... Physical checks are nice but snail mail is phasing out and I'd prefer something more convenient... PayPal is fine but for some reason I feel it's not as secure as the other two. What other options do I have?

Thanks!

I don't think that information is compiled in one place. Most of the MSCs will have one payment method; sometimes you get a choice of two payment methods. My preference is Paypal or direct deposit to my bank, but I also accept checks in the mail. I don't work with any company that uses Payquicker so I don't know how well that works.

Watch out for one thing if a company offers more than one payment option, sometimes their preferred method will be free while the alternative has a fee attached. Two who offer free direct deposit, Stericycle (formerly CORI) and Second to None, both pass along the PayPal fee to the shopper.

I prefer DD. No hassles and much faster. Pay Pal is okay I guess but takes a few days longer. PayQuicker takes a few days longer too and I do not like checks much.
I prefer to be paid. Preferably paid well. Don't matter how it gets to me.

I opt for checks. WHY? If it goes into my acct, my better half spends it. 'My' money is for emergencies and vacations (hubby got the sack last Wed sad smiley ) I do have my own acct at a credit union, but honestly, I have lost all faith in anything with the government. and no, I don't hide it under my mattress, or in the freezer: im much more creative smiling smiley
Either one is fine with me if it is timely. When I get checks, I cash them and pay my bills with money orders. In the past, two banks cheated me out of money in my checking accounts because it sat there. One was an account I got through mystery shopping, so I don't do much with bank shops anymore. Someone has started scamming my PayPal account. They find real companies and send me a notice that the money is there. The amount is very realistic for my business with the company. I have learned not to believe it and I don't open any email purported to be from PayPal. The scam starts with saying I have a certain number of days to withdraw the money but the money isn't in my account. I don't use PayPal for anything except receiving money so I have it sent to my bank right away. I wonder now whether I should do something to protect my bank account.
Coyle pays via paypal (the email associated with your account) sometime during the last week of the month FOLLOWING your shop. For example, if you did a shop on April 1st, you wont get paid until the last week of May.
I opened up a bank account just for mystery shopping and there's not much $$ in there .. ever!

When I get a company/paypal notice via email that there's money there??? I transfer it right away.

That's what I do.
