Payment problems--what do I do?

KSS still owes me money for a shop completed in May. If I understand their guidelines right, I should have been paid no later than 31 July.

It's a significant sum to me--reimbursement and fee together come to about $47. How do I find out when I'm going to get paid?

EDIT: turns out it's not KSS. This is what happens when you get a new bank account, kids.

KSS is a scheduling service, not an MSC. Which MSC did you work for? The MSC is almost certainly the party you need to contact about payment.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
The MSC is definitely the one you'll get payment from rather than KSS. This sounds like maybe a movie shop? For Service Sleuth? They usually pay at about 90 days. Go back to the guidelines and see which MSC.
What MSC did KSS schedule to do th shop for? The MSC is who you have the problem with, not Kern.

Service Sleuth also does oil changes (and is scheduled by Kern). That would make sense as they are the MSC with the 90 day pay guidelines (at the end of two months after the shop). So shops done in May would be paid out at the end of August.

Hi all,

Sorry for late reply. Chipotle has really been taking it out of me (and so far I've only done four-hour days...eeeek!). I haven't actually had the chance to check thru my list of websites, but it's a SASSIE company and they have a green login page. I've just got up this morning and I'm en route to coffee, so if this description isn't familiar to anyone, a name should be incoming shortly.
Nina, That sounds like Kern's sassie website they use for scheduling. This is basically a summary of the shops they are currently scheduling for MSC's. You still would have had to sign up with whatever company (Service Sleuth, etc.) is really doing the shop.

The plot thickens . . . .

I found the Service Sleuth payment in my paypal, but I'm missing a MarketForce payment. I did get a new checking account, but my information should already be changed in their system--so where's my twenty bucks?
OK, well, glad you realized that you had actually been paid by Service Sleuth. Any shops scheduled by KSS will always be scheduled for another company, like Service Sleuth or Kinesis. You will be paid by the company you perform the shop for.

Of course, Market Force won't have anything to do with KSS. Have you contacted the MF Help Desk?
If you change your payment information with MF, it usually takes one payment cycle for it to take affect. That recently happened to me when I changed checking accounts/banks. It was back to normal for the next payment.

Bleh. I hope that $20 isn't lost forever. I shot them an email today when I found the error, so we'll see what happens.
