gcs field research???

I just wanna know os gcs field research legit??? I signed up for the mystery shoppimg and they sent me a check and i went to cash it and some how my account went to a negitve balance??? I dont know what to do??? My bank told me that it would be avalable on the 26th but i dont know cause my account is now overdrawn someone please help me...

There is a company called GCS however a lot of the scams use the names of legitimate companies. I've been a mystery shopper for a lot of years and have never known a mystery shopping company to send a check out before the work was done. This is a common scam. Was this one of those shops where you have to send them back some of the money and then you get to keep some for yourself? If so, then it is definitely a common scam. It's just a shame you didn't come ask us when you first received the check.

However, if you did an assignment for them (other than cashing the check and sending them some) then you probably are okay.

The first thing I would recommend is to look up GCS by their website and find out if they sent you the cheque. I hate to say it but it is unlikely. If you didn't sign up to shop for them on a website then it is almost impossible that this would be a legitimate situation.

I would also call the bank and tell them you are the victim of a scam and maybe they can stop the cheque from going through. Finally I would call the police and report this. I recommend doing all this first thing this morning.

Best wishes and let us know how you make out. Mystery shopping is legitimate and GCS is the name of a real company. Unfortunately a lot of criminals use the names of real companies to make themselves more believeable.

If your balance is negative, the check already bounced. This is a classic scam. They may have sent you a check for $1000 and told you to send back $950 and to keep the other $50 as your fee. After you send them the $950 of your real money, the check they sent you bounces and your account goes negative. This is a scam. Time to go to the police department.

Checks clear quickly these days. It probably won't be long. If you even suspect that you might have a problem, contact your bank and the police immediately. You jhave probably been scammed.

Why do people think that checks should rain down on them without doing any work? MS'ing is not like winning the lottery.

Here is your biggest problem. The check will bounce. Due to regulations on how long your bank can put a hold on the funds it will "clear" long enough for you to withdraw the funds. A couple weeks down the line it will finally come back to your bank that this is actually a fraudulent check, not simply insufficient funds. At that point they will put your account into a negative balance and you could potentially face criminal charges. It won't matter that someone else wrote the check, you deposited the check and failed to notify your bank you had become aware it was bad making you complicit. Please let us know where you are incarcerated. Maybe some of our compliance shoppers can take some shipping shops in order to send you cigarettes. They are like money in prison.

I have zero patience with this. Does anyone ever send you money for doing nothing? NO. Would you send someone money in advance of doing a job? Of course not. AT least you didn't have a friend or someone else deposit it and screw up their account.

That is, if anything about this thread is real. Another one-and-done poster? Whatever.
