Newbie

Hi, my name is Rose and I am a newcomer to this forum as well as to mystery shopping. I have applied to a lot of companies and been offered jobs by many, but I'm not sure what is best to start out doing.

I heard about Inteli-chek where mystery shoppers make outgoing phone calls. I see on another website tht some time ago there were a lot of good comments, but suddenly comments have dried up. I know they are again hiring and I did apply, but now wondering what, if anything, went wrong.

Any information anyone can provide would be appreciated.

I had never heard of Inteli-chek and looked it up on the web. To make a commitment of 20 hrs a week placing phone calls for .90 each? At one site I did read a complaint that often the same business is called for the same item by 10-12 different callers and gets annoyed as well as you may have blocked out time for them but they may have no work for you. This does not sound like mystery shopping or like a winner.

If you are interested in mystery shopping, that is one thing and the list of companies plbell627 mentions is a good place to start.
For me first I had to figure out what type of shop I wanted to do. I started with simple shops like mini storage facilities. I then did a few high end retail shops. After 5 years I now prefer auto shops and apartment shops. I still do high end retail though. I do bank shops to cover gas in between the other shops I do.
I find I am getting too many spam emails since I signed up at this site. Do others find the same? May need to delete my profile. What do you think?
I've only experienced this once. It was concerning. I forwarded the emails as spam to the postmaster of my email provider, and it was taken care of. The spammer hasn't gotten through again.
I don't know why you're getting increased SPAM but I doubt it's the forum. There is so much valuable information here, I'd hate to see you quit it right now that you'rre just starting out. Did you set up an account just for mystery shopping. That way you'd know where the spam is coming from. I have tons of spams and I have a virus scanner. I hope yoou have one and maybe ad aware too. I get tons of spam.I just delete or block. I don't know if this helps.

I get some spam, but it is not from joining the Forum. I just use my blockin program from my internet providor and it will slow it to a crawl.
