Probably the fastest paying company is Corporate Research International. It is also probably the lowest fees in the industry--perhaps because it pays quickest? Sometimes with Trendsource or Market Force or others you can get paid very quickly because you happen to do a shop right before the end of their pay period and they are not companies that pay you at the end of the month following the month in which you did your shop.

Slowest paying that is still paying right on schedule is probably Service Sleuth. There are some with an even longer pay cycle than Service Sleuth but there seem to be issues even meeting those pay cycles.

You will find lots of discussions of this topic in the main sections of the forum as payment, of course, is an important issue with shoppers.
Hey Flash thanks for your response. I've only been at this since Dec 2011, and I'm signed up with about 10+ companies. I find most companies pay in a reasonable time period, but a few feel they can pay us whenever. One company just paid me a day ago from shops that were done in the beginning of Dec last year.
For me, CoRI's average payment time is about two weeks. They issue payments every week, but you are "paid" on the Monday following the next full week after your shop is approved, and the money won't hit your bank account until that Friday.

Example: If you do a CoRI shop today (February 10th) and it is approved today, you'll likely be "paid" on the 20th and have the money on the 24th. If it isn't approved until Monday (February 13th), you'll likely be "paid" on the 27th and have the money March 2.

Other quick paying companies:

Maritz Research - They issue payments twice per month, but only pay via paper check (which tacks on a few extra days).
Marketforce - Monthly, somewhere between the 9th and 12th for direct deposit.
Trendsource - 5th and 20th of every month.
Informa Research - Average for me was 3-4 weeks after shop date, via paper check.
Mintel - I would say average is 3 weeks, but I have been paid via paper check within 7 days of my shop date.

Companies with long but reliable payment cycles:

Intellishop - The 20th of the month following the next full month after your shop date (January shops paid March 20th, February shops paid April 20th, etc). They are reliable payers, however.

Once you have been doing this for a while the immediacy of payments becomes less important than the continuity of payments. I have one shop left from December to be paid. I checked on it yesterday because it was late and evidently it 'fell through the cracks'. No big problem because of the ongoing stream of payments, but it would be nice to get the books closed on 2011. After a while you see the 'usual folks' haven't paid yet, though they are still within their payment cycle. A couple of companies have already paid me for January work, though their payment cycle would indicate that they would pay "within 60 days".
How slow is Service Sleuth? I cannot find their pay policy on their site and I did a shop on 12/3/11. Thank you.
They are right around 3 months. I too have an early December shop that I'm really not expecting to see payment for until probably the end of the first week of March. Their login page shows that November shops 'will be paid by February 10' so I am assuming December will be paid by about March 10.
I just received my payment for December work, data1025, so they were a little quicker than 3 full months this round. I hope yours arrived as well.
