New to Mystery Shopping and without a vehicle

This may come across as a silly question. I have been looking for a way to make extra money and not have to purchase a vehicle to do so. I know there are ways to mystery shop online and via phone. Is it really possible to do full-time mystery shopping with no vehicle, and make a decent amount of extra money?

No. There are online shops, there are phone shops, but no way can you make a living with them and nothing else. "Decent money" will depend on your idea of decent. It will never approach a even a minimum wage full time job with any consistency, the fees are just too low. Many shoppers, myself included, may score what works out to be a good day once in a while, but not with any regularity.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Probably not. If you live in a fairly large city with decent public transportation you may be able to get enough on site shops accessible by bus or subway to make it worthwhile.

Most of the online "shopping opportunities" are pretty scammy ways of getting your credit card information and personal information. Typical deal there is that you sign up, they send you an Excel spreadsheet of websites to visit and sign up for a 'free trial' of whatever. The anticipation is that you will not cancel your 'free trial' in time and your credit card will be charged but meanwhile, the 'company' that sent you for your $2 visit is collecting a $20 fee for having sent the website a 'live one' who can now receive email, mail and phone solicitation calls as well as possibly be soaked for a paid membership once the trial membership is over.

Many legitimate companies (see the Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies link at the bottom of each page of the forum) have telephone shops from time to time and they generally don't pay much each and there are many homebound shoppers competing for them.
Thanks for the replies. I have a full-time job, and am aiming to make a little extra cash. I wouldn't have an issue being on time for a shop on weekends.
I live walking distance to a mall. There are always cell phone and bank shops there. It wouldn't be enough to quit my job, but it adds up nicely.

If you take public transportation to work, see if there are shops along your commute and near your job.

The call center and online shops pay extremely low, but you aren't doing much.

You can also find shops that require in home visits. Those run from $15-$30.
