Hello!

Hi, there!

I'm fairly new to MSing. I joined one company just over a month ago and have done ten shops for them. Not great paying, but I wanted to do them just to learn the ropes. I have since joined a few more companies and am getting some better paying shops now.

I probably will not do a lot of shops over the summer, unless I can find some that will allow me to take my kids. In the fall I will sign up for more companies and get my certification.

When I'm not busy mystery shopping, I am a postpartum doula.

Nice to meet you all.

Hello solideogloria, Welcome to this forum; lots of information here free for the reading. If you haven't yet read the pluses and minuses of certification, I'd encourage you to do so. Good luck with ms'ing, and I hope to hear more from yousmiling smiley
Thanks for replying, Mert. After reading your advice to read about the pluses and minuses of certification, I have been digging through the archives. I'm still not sure if I will go ahead. As I said, I will not be able to do a lot of shops over the summer, so I have a couple months to consider certification before I start trying to make this a "full-time" job.

I think the certification sounds very similar to what happens in the doula world. Pretty much anyone can get a certification (of course, they are more costly than MS certs!) and put up a website, but some of those folks are still pretty lousy doulas!

All the best. For now I'm having lot of fun doing these shops. Hubby just wishes I would actually get my first check.
