Hello from asunnyview in the Western NC foothills

Hello to All,
I have only got one month of mystery shopping behind me, so I have lots of ropes to learn. That's why I'm here. I hope that I can also pass along tidbits that might help someone else as well. I live in the beautiful Western NC foothills near the NC/SC state line. I haven't been successful (as of yet anyway) in finding very many decent paying jobs in my area. Market Force Information is the only one that I have worked for so far. I appreciate all input and courteous help that I receive. I'm also looking to make friends from around the country and of course learn the ins and outs of the mystery shopping business.

Hi asunnyview and welcome! I'm NC/SC also. If you haven't looked on Jobslinger to show you companies who shop your area, you should try them; then register with the MSPs that have shops where you live. That's a good first step. Hopefully, that will give you more than just MF to shop with. After that, apply, apply, apply. There are hundreds of MSPs and you can find lists on this forum, and others.

Good luck!
Thank you so much Mert for warm welcome. I have checked Jobslinger and Volition and they are both sort of overwhelming to me. But I will defintely look closer. I'm looking forward to getting wiser about this new adventure by listening to those like you who have had various experiences with other companies. Have a great shopping day today, Mert!

yeah i signed up for all the jobs on volition and most of them dont even have shops in my area... have you tried certified or cri? i have mainly worked with them... other people dont like cri cause of the low pay but its ok with me... just if you do shop with cri... dont drop shops... one they drop your rating and two they dont let you pick up the shop again... hope this helps

shopping north west PA and south west ny
Thanks Cooldude681,

Glad to hear some more input on cri and cori, most everything I have heard has been bad. I have picked up on that both companys are very tempermental. However, if I didn't complete a shop that was scheduled to me I would expect some backlash from it. Hopefully, if it is due to an emergency and I called as quickly as I realized that I couldn't complete as scheduled, that something could work out. I have been frozen out with MarketForce now for about a month and I don't know why. I do appreciate your giving me a headsup on them. I have applied with CFA for 3 assignments now, so we'll see if they'll award them to me. Have a wonderful shopping day and B Blessed!

To the best of my knowledge, Corporate Research International (CRI or CoRI) is NOT owned by Market Force. Market Force took over SG Marketing, Certified and Shop 'N Chek.
