New with Lots of ???s

Hello to all! I'm very interested in the Mystery Shopping game plan however, don't know how to get started. I fell victim to a scam earlier this summer, thinkging I was a mystery shopper and it cleaned out my account. So now, I really would like to try this again only with a legitimate business. I'm sure they do exist and I'm hoping that a Mystery Shopper pro might give me some ideas as well as legitimate businesses that I might contact. If I'm not going about this the correct way, please let me know. I really am interested in this as a part-time job. Thanks for any advice and input any of you might give me.

Go to the New Mystery Shopper area and read the threads there towards the top. They are designed to give an overview of how this works, some software and ideas to help you get started and suggestions of how to get started signing up to get started. We are all aware here of the scams out there that give mystery shopping a bad name. Stick with legitimate companies (there is a list of them here, on other shopper forums and at the MSPA site of their member companies) and you should be ok.
Rule number one is NEVER EVER pay any company to let you shop for them, no matter how special they try to make you think they are. Legitimate companies are supposed to pay YOU, not the other way around. Also, and I realize there may be other points of view here, I firmly do NOT believe in having to be officially "certified" by paying money to the MSPA. All it does is put your money in THEIR pockets. Some have the idea that it somehow proves you to be a serious shopper. BULLCOOKIES! I have shopped now for nearly 16 years and have never needed some piece of paper to prove that I can do the job. Just sign up for as many companies as possible and read their job boards.

I've just completed the beginning of an application for a Mystery Shopping adventure with CRI, has anyone heard of them...they are out of Ohio. Thanks!
I've been mystery shopping for 6 months and am enjoying new opportunities. I have done a couple of shops for CRI and have had no problem with jobs or getting paid.
