Welcome! You will find lots of supportive shoppers here.

To get a head start n your new business, please go to the New Mystery Shoppers area of the forum and read the topics that are "pinned" to the top of the list there. Then, check out more of the nearly 200 legitimate MS companies at the foot of the page.
Successful MSers tend to be signed up with 50 to 150, or more MS companies. Since most require some time between visits to each location (aka "rotation"winking smiley you will need to work with several MSCs each month to really have a chance to make money. But, never fear, there are TONS of shops available each month once you have signed up with enough MSCs and started building your reputation as a reliable, objective reporter of what you see.

Hey! I’m a Marylander too. Silver Spring has great shops. Once you’re a little more experienced, I would sign up for Coyle. They have great high-end restaurants but be careful - the reports are painful. You’ll get to try some great new restaurants though! Good luck and have fun!

Where in MD are you?
I shop from northern VA to north of Baltimore on a regular basis (and well beyond on longer routes). So, perhaps we might try to meet up for coffee some time.
