Did you sign up with any companies yet? There is a link at the bottom of the page to a list of MSCs. If you sign up with a couple of them each day, you should be able to get some assignments soon. Happy new year!
Use the drop down on the top of the page and select "new mystery shoppers" and you will find a wealth of information there. After reading the posts there start signing up for the companies listed on the bottom of the page where it says "official mystery shop companies." You can sign up for a few at a time and build up your list of companies. If you do not see anything you like you might find something the next time. Most new jobs for the following month are advertised on the websites of the companies you signed up for sometime around the end of the month before so you can start looking for January jobs right now.
Many people start out with signing up for some of the larger companies like Market Force and Intellishop which seem to have jobs across the country. This should get you started but you can ask specific questions about any job you have here. We are not allowed to use the name of a mystery shop company and a client they have in the same thread so you can say you have a shop for Market Force in a grocery store for instance , but you cannot name the brand of grocery store. Or you can name the brand but not the mystery shop company.
Best advice for now is : do not write in all caps!!! That is considered yelling.

Hi Daisy, and welcome to the Forum!
Go to THIS LINK: [www.mysteryshopforum.com] and read EVERYTHING in each of the topics that have the symbols of the push pins on them. And as JAS noted above, click on the links below to sign up with all these mystery shopping companies. Good luck!
Hi Daisy! Good luck to you in your endeavors. Mystery shopping can be a good source of a second income, but it is usually in direct relation to how much effort you put into it. Sign up with lots of companies!
OP well you probably had caps lock on to start you should have retyped the beginning of your post. All caps comes of as you are yelling at us. Anyway merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Good luck and sign up with every company on that official list you can. Do 5 a day that you don't have shops.

If they send you money before you have done work: Scam
If they are offering to pay you hundreds of dollars when you have never registered with them: Scam
If you they are asking you to purchase and send gift cards anywhere: Scam
If they want to send you money and have you send some of it elsewhere: Scam

Hi I'm Barbara I'm new to this also. I started out a couple of months ago and I started out with the small jobs mostly taking the ones that are reimbursements and working my way up. The best way to do it is trial and error and to find a friend that can help you with the reports. The biggest thing to remember about the reports their stories. And truly that is exactly what they want Tell them a story about how your shop went. I think that is the best advice anyone can give you for this. Al so the more observant you are the better your shop will be.
Welcome !

hello.my name is Kim and just received my first assignment in the mail. I'm a little sceptical. can anyone tell me if it is normal to get a cashier's check and cash it or deposit and then email or text someone with confirmation. if I don't have a bank acct.can I deposit on my PayPal debit card. can anyone answer this for me and help me understand.
@kimjo
Do NOT deposit that check. That is a scam!!

Kim -

Right now there is very little real mystery shopping due to the CoronaVirus. If you want to get into it, the first step is to register for companies - there is a list of them linked below. You then apply for jobs - which generally do not pay that much. Once you are assigned a job, you read the guidelines, conduct the visit, and fill out a survey. You get paid thereafter - sometimes months later.

There are several ver common scams disguised as mystery shopping opportunities, many of which involve sending the victim a check in the mail before they do any work. Real companies will not send you the money up front.

There are lots of scammers out there waiting to take advantage of people. Fake checks are a common scam. Real MSCs do not pay in advance for work you have not completed. And why would someone pay a stranger a large sum of money in advance? Have you ever worked a job where you got paid in advance? Mystery shops generally pay about $15-$20 per assignment. Right now there are very fow shops available because of the Corona virus.

This is a scam. Report it to the police. Take the envelope and all of the contents to the US Postal Inspetors (talk to your local Postmaster).
