What do you think about Castforce?

I was excited to sign up with them and do a project but was shocked when the $21 project took me 6 hours!!! I wondered if this was normal for them...

There have been a bunch of discussion about Castforce. They will come up if you use the "search" function, and search for "Castforce" putting in "all dates."
I'm not a fan of Castforce. I took some of their "one hour" projects a year ago. After getting the first one done in 3 hours, and I'm fast, I contacted my scheduler about the time needed to complete one reset.

He said "oops, I forgot you had to count the cards."

Long story short I got one other reset done then worked with the scheduler to transition the remaining jobs to another person. I used my time and gasoline to drive the materials to the other person.

I also had problems with the website. Maybe the problems were because I'm on a Mac, but their tech support was no help at all. I ended up having to submit multiple screen shots of the report as I filled it in (for the fifth time) to the tech support guy so he could fill in the report. I would have preferred he work out the problem and let me submit the report myself but did it this way as he requested.

To top it off, I never got paid for the jobs I did. I tried repeatedly to submit my invoice but again was not successful with their website. I sent numerous emails to tech support with no resolution. I sent emails to the scheduler with no response.

I work for quite a few companies and don't have trouble uploading pics or receipts for any of them. I always felt like there was likely a simple fix but their tech support either wasn't interested in helping or simply didn't have the skills to help.

I know others have had better luck, but that is my experience with them.
That $21 project was a pain..I signed up for 25 stores...my first one took 5 hours and my second one took 8!!! the stores were supposed to have the POG completed before we audited, most of them did not and Castforce did not have a provision for compensation!!! when I complained they said all I needed to do was submit pictures and they would increase my fee...ha!!! the store that I was in for 8 hours...they only increased my fee to $41.50....and then decreased my contractor score when I had to cancel most of my stores because I could not finish them or even plan a schedule due to the unpredictibility of the project. I Did 12 of those and only 1 was a Castforce Described. That being said they are very unorganized, they assign completion dates to projects...you plan a route to complete them and then the product you need doesn't come until the last day of the project or after the project has ended!!!!!
And you are stuck to do it because they will charge you a fee for the product shipped to you.

My experience with this company has not been positive so far...they do not set up their I.C. Field Reps to be effecient....they set themselves up for reps to cancel workorders because they are not organized!!! And When you ask for an extension, they act like they are doing you a favor!!

If you are a planner...DO NOT take any jobs from them that you need product for, you will not get it in time and you will have to rewrite your route. I have only been with them for 2 months and this has been a consistent problem. I like the Portal set up although it is very slow, they have the potential to be a good company but they are just not there yet.....very frustrating.!!!
Castforce gives you jobs that don't "jive" with the amount of work you have to do.

I got tired of going into Wallymart and fixing the disasterous "As Seen On TV" 20 foot aisles. They gave you ONE hour to do it and 1/2 of that time was spent taking off all the junk that did not belong on the shelf..

I did this one Wallymart 3 times and I saw it come up again. I walked into the store (prior to accepting) and saw how tore up the aisle always was (no matter how many times I fixed it) so I declined the assignment (had not accepted it yet).

I saw some Sap accepted the job off the board.smiling smiley lol..
I read the SEARCH on this company and I did registered earlier and I was to a project with green dots cards and I decided after reading the negative and questionable pay for projects.. I canceled the que for the project and ask my account to close.

Thank goodness for forums!
After reading the recent feedback on this company, I'm thinking of putting this MSC on my "10 foot pole" list. Doesn't sound too advantageous in taking on such lengthy assignments for such little compensation.

I have worked with castforce for 5 months now. Received all checks when the payout date said they would. Most projects are very easy. One thing I learned from working with Acosta is to never do Wallmart projects ever. The CVS/Wallgreens and 7/11 jobs I have done have been easy for the pay. If you are doing the CVS ones and the displays are really off I suggest just doing the Green Dot/Visa/Itunes/wireless cards. Those are the company's that pay for the projects. If home depot, shell ect are not set you will still get paid by castforce.
I've done two jobs for them, one was a snap, the other a nightmare. I'm signed up for three more of the "snap" jobs for the end of the month. Hopefully they will be as simple as the first one was.

(The nightmare one was the As Seen on TV job. The "snap" job was the Green Dot job.)

From experience I would never do a Wal-Mart project unless you get paid hourly. They do not care about keeping pog's up to date. The Gift cards I have done have been pretty easy. Most I get in and out in 30 or so minutes even the 21$ ones.
In my case the manager didn't want me to reset it, so I just reported accordingly. It was mostly a nightmare because *I* failed to read one of the pages of instructions and wasted a bunch of time looking for things I was supposed to simply ASK the manager if they had received yet. I would do the gig again, now that I'm older and wiser.....

But I also was told by the scheduler that I could have left after an hour because "we can only do so much." So next time, I will work for the hour, take a picture of what I have accomplished, and leave.

Up until now they always paid when promised. I did a bunch of jobs in late Feb, early March that had a March 15th pay date on them. Today that changed to April 19th. Really?? Essentially 2 months to get paid as they only mail checks (no direct deposit) so check wont arrive until March 22nd or so.

If I hit MY deadline... THEY need to hit theirs!
Please shoot me in the head, if I ever accept ANY of the gift card shops again. That is a 90 minute job if done RIGHT, no matter what they say....

I refuse 90% of their offers but accept a few, whenever the moon is blue sad smiley

IMO, that pretty well sums merchandising.
You just have to watch who you are working for and ask lots of questions, just like MS'ing. Castforce I won't touch with a stick, I have seen too many merchandisers sitting on the floor near tears with those gift card from hell sets. I almost took an assignment recently until I carefully read the instructions. What I thought was a slap a coupon on a bag assignment was actually repackage the item in a new bag, THEN slap a coupon on the bag. Pay and time was fine for couponing, not even close for repackaging. It was listed as IRC assignment.
When the nasty, hateful manager spewed her ugliness at me, in the Wally Store, and who was the B---- from Hell, it was THEN that I decided the "As Seen On TV" nightmare fix, would NEVER be done by me again smiling smiley
I don't understand how you worked all those months for a company you rate so low. Initially you led us to believe it was one issue, that they pulled back a payment already made. Now you're telling us almost everyone was incompetent. Seems like if that's the case you would have quit working for them right away. I don't work for the company and I'm not defending them. I'm just saying this whole thing is crazy weird, especially that you said they were good enough to work with until you had an issue that didn't go your way. Now you're slamming them all over the internet like you think that will force the issue and they will pay you. Has it ever occurred to you they might sue and win? That happens, you're going to think $4,000 is chump change.

I am seeing a pink box with "unapproved message" above all of weatherman00's posts. Did this come from Jacob and/or the moderators? If yes, thank you!

I have worked some for Castforce. In my opinion, they do pay on time. The problem I have is the same as some others. I took 4 different jobs doing ASOTV. Well, none of the stores I have, have a 3-way set-up. One I went to last night had more non-ASOTV that it had ASOTV. There was no way I could take all the merchandise off and reset it. Or better than that, I was not going to. One that I did was 4 hours for $25 and 60 miles round trip. However, that was not the companies fault, it was mine.
Castforce is an up and down company it has its advantages and disadvantages. They have complaints and concerns they need to address but every company does. They do pay on-time
Really? They pay on time, some of the time.

They stiffed a friend of mine on five of those gift card resets from hell because someone didn't like her pictures. She made three 200 mile round trips doing 8 of those on a deadline. She got paid for three of them. Didn't even cover her gas let alone all the hours she put in. She did the work; they didn't pay.

Time to build a bigger bridge.
I now have a problem with Castforce! I do not like the robo calls reminding me of projects not complete with only two days after the project started! I work a full time job of four ten hour days, which leaves all day Friday to work for Castforce. They now call EVERY DAY stressing the importance of haveing so much percentage of projects done early in the week. I do not need a daily reminder. If you do not want me anymore, just say so! But stop the automated robo calls!
These are all true facts period from last two responders! They use and abuse you period!
the gift card jobs I have done ALWAYS take about 90 minutes. the pay for these jobs are a pittance IF you get paid...I started with them in January and have not been paid a cent!
Hmmm, mlh125, if you get messages from QC, you should answer them period. They can hold pay if you owe them projects that are past due or not quality work please look at contract because the contract is a ripoff.
