Been working at Crossmark for 2 months

Merchandising ain't like it used to be.
I service 2 wally world's and I feel more like a stock person that a merchandiser...
I'm on the fence on how I feel about it...
It's awesome to get paid once a week, on time every week, every time.
My manager is cool although they can be a little rough around the edges at times..
You get to know the people and the people get to know you, sort of like Cheers
I am very local, less than 10 miles
They issue you a company phone or tablet...after you have been there for a minute, I was issued on right away, I do work hard

but geez, some of the assoc and Mngr are so mean...some are very nice too
The resets ARE FREAKIN BRUTAL!!! I did two major ones, I think I slept for two and a half days after that! No, really! I did!
The stock rooms freak me out a lil, I think I have some kind of phobia, I do not like large things over my head, that could potentially fall and kill me. They are very safe and take safety seriously, when it comes to that (but) I'm just freaked out and we have to go back there. I think I practically run past the area with large things.

Once again, did I mention the resets are BRUTAL!!!

I feel like I am worth more than what they pay and It there is no motivation and ambition.
Its like companies these days, try to get so much work out of you for so little pay.
When I 1st started out I was starting out at 13 - 15 bucks! It was sweet at a different company and I worked for them for a long time.

or maybe I'm just getting old *sigh*

I have worked for Crossmark for a little over 2 years. Which resets did you think were brutal?
Some resets can be a challenge but honestly I have not ran into anything that I would consider brutal.

Many times at Walmart they have to get used to you being there before you start getting their cooperation.

Merchandising has been changing gradually with merchandisers doing a lot more than just auditing. There is a lot more focus on correcting out of stocks than ever before as the stores cut staff and the products are not making it to the shelf.
Brutal resets for Crossmark? They haven't been brutal since they got rid of the HIS division. Reset the Ceiling Fan Bays, The lighting bays or how about reset the Floor tiles along with the grout. Each one a week long starting at 9:30 PM until 7:00 AM the next day. The worst part was the one night jobs that turned into two days because of lack of communication with the store managers. Drive 120 miles check into the motel, then be at work at 9:30 then get done around 5 or 6:00 AM. Go back to the motel, sleep as late as they would let you rarely past noon, then get up and check out they drive 260 miles to the other side or the district that you're in and do it all over again. Largest check was $2000 for 70 hrs and lots of miles. Smallest for those nine weeks was $700.00 with a crew of five probably why they no longer have the contract.
