First CAST assignments

Weeks ago I signed up with CAST. Today I finally received my first assignments, but there were no details included. When I asked, all the manager said is that I'd be servicing pre-paid cards, and the store will have the backstock I need.

That sounds too easy. Any suggestions you can pass on or tips I need to know?

I tried looking CAST up o the internet and did not get the feeling it was a mystery shopping company.
Bring rubber bands, if you can get some for free! They (Cast) will provide you with a planogram and they will tell you to make sure it is set to POG. Don't freak out, it's an easy thing to say I know and a hard thing to do, when you see the set and compare it to the POG.

Start with the front of the POG and make sure it's all set to POG. Then, if you have time, choose the left or the right and make sure it's set to POG......and so on. If the location has a main Display, a Pharmacy Display, an electronics display.......etc........don't even think about any other display (or side of the display) except the one you're working on.

When you only have 10 minutes left, but there's two or three hours of work left to do, call your manager or the help-line and ask for advise!
It is a merchandising company.

The cards can be easy if everything goes right. If the person who had the store before you did their job, it probably will be easy. It sometimes takes a while to get a manager and sometimes it is hard to find the stock. This kind of thing depends on the store.

I hear a lot of people are struggling with the app. I hope it goes super smoothly for you.
spicy1, that is some of the best advise you gave. I wish I had known it when I first started doing gift card sets/resets, etc. Can be fun if all goes well, if not, it can be a horror.
I've now done four assignments. Two of them were in pretty good shape before I got there and I finished quickly. The others? I don't think they had been serviced for a while. At one of the locations the manager brought out a box containing a holiday-themed stand.

How can I apply to Cast? I tried a form I found on what I'm assuming was their website but it wouldn't submit. Thanks!!
I would bring a rolling toolbox that gave me something to sit on, and hold removable trays to help keep the cards organized until I put them back up. I would also save some of the skinny boxes the new cards come in to help keep organized. I used blank cards to get everything laid out, and printed the best color copy of the POG that I could.
Where I live, there's a guy that was sitting on a stool resetting the gift card set in Toys R' Us. The manager had a REAL problem with him doing that (also, it was taking him forever; but who cared at Cast at that time? No One, because Cast was paying a flat fee at that time). Anyway, he got fired.
I signed up with Cast, with a certain manager, and was assigned 3 stores. He told me it would be a week or so til they started, that was back in early May. Never heard anything, called again, new manager, couldn't get a hold of him, then he called and left a message saying I had no stores assigned to me, yet it's right there on my assignment page. Email from him saying new assignments soon, nothing else. Now new manager, still can't get in touch with him. Anybody else having a problem?
