Change Post to most recent date and time.

I don't know if it is possible or if anyone agrees with me, but I would like to see the post in reverse. Most resent at the top instead of the bottom of each Forum. Start with the first Post that started the forum, than the rest in reverse by time and date. Am I making any since?

You are making perfect sense. I understand what you are saying but I prefer it the way it is, with the posts in date order following the first post in the thread, with the most recent post last. It would probably be possible to reverse the order and show the most recent post first.
I prefer the first post first and the last post last. By clicking the red "new" I can go directly to the posts I haven't read. That works well for me. Or I can click "last post" and go directly to the very last post. Good options to have.

Edited. I'm losing it.

Never mind.

I see the most recent at the bottom. I think I'll click the red NEW too and check it out. smiling smiley

Why on Earth would I want to read a conversation backwards?

In many threads, there's not simply answers to the OP... but quite often a progression of conversation as things are discussed, figured out, details added, more discussion, and finally whatever the topic was, is hopefully resolved. Why would I want to read the 'end of the story', first?!

Having to read threads backwards, and figure it out, would probably be the thing that finally drove me *completely* insane.

What's wrong with just clicking the red 'New' thingie, to take you to the first unread post?

Perhaps the OP was not fully aware of the options for moving aroubd within the thread?

I agree with the chronology as it is currently. If we had the last post first, too many people would miss "the middle" and we would have chaos. People answering a question might be reiterating things that have already been answered. I usually try to read through the responses before adding to a thread. As a result, I would have to backtrack to the beginning to follow responses after mine. Just my opinion smiling smiley
I absolutely prefer it the way it is. I know of another forum that let's users choose between the two options, but I always prefer my stuff to go chronologically.
I didn't realize the red New. Thanks WALESMAVEN. I am fairly new to this forum compared to a lot of you. Chronologically is the best way.
One thing I would love to see added is the start date of the thread. It says "Started by" and the name of the OP, I would like to see:

Started by:

Jacob
on May 15, 2010

That would clue us that this is an old topic, and the title was relevant then but may not be relevant now, since threads wander and the new post may be a reply to an off-topic later post.

(I'd also like to see old threads locked down after a year so that old, irrelevant, resolved issues aren't dragged up for a new debate three years later, but I know not everyone agrees with this.)

Time to build a bigger bridge.
Isn't that what the date is under the "like" button or am I mistaken?

I like it the way it is. It is easy to go to the last page and see the most recent if that is what you desire. The new icons are great.
I think they were talking about on the forum list so you don't even have to click on the thread. On the list you only see the name and most recent update

Negative. What you see under the "like" button is the date and time stamp for that particular post.

Well it is for the first post of each thread, so it's right once in every thread. Even a broken (analog) clock is right twice a day!
Okay, okay.... you were right vlade and I was..wr... I was wr.... I was... um... not as right as you. tongue sticking out smiley

I want to see the date of origin in the list, before I click through to the thread. I want to know it's old to decide if I want to bother seeing why someone dredged it up from the archives. I hate when I click on that "new" button only to find myself on page 15 of a three-year-old thread and have to scroll back three pages to figure out what anyone is talking about.

Yes, I agree. That suggestion would be a helpful addition.
