Phorum Database Error

I have been getting this message when I have tried to post on this blog.

Anybody else receiving this error?

yep, i've tried that a few times and still the same thing.

i've been highly critical of GFK lately and i'm thinking that perhaps the moderator has placed some kind of restriction on my postings although i've been civil.

the error message seems to only occur when i'm now posting to the "why i fell out of love with GFK" thread.

This will also happen if you cut and paste from another site and have any non "ASCII" (Text Characters) or what is referred to as Unicode characters or other language characters.

You can clean up the text by first pasting it into notepad and deleting anything that is not text and then cut and paste it to the forum. This will make it pure ASCII and the message will post fine.

There are other times that the board does not have enough connections to the SQL database and you will get this error when reading the forum. If that happens, you should wait a minute or two and hit the refresh button on the browser.

scanman1...yep, that is probably what has happened. i've cut and pasted some very recent instructions and guidelines from GFK along with their demands that they "expect nothing less than flawless reports" and threats about deactivating shoppers who don't follow those instructions and/or guidlines and then their followup emails (2 days later) to inform me about the "circumstances beyond their control (direct quote)" and their "minor adjustments" (direct quote)".

their "circumstances beyond their control" have to do with their complicated phone reporting app which was/is flawed and didn't allow proper communication.

their "minor adjustment" includes misinformation about what pics have to be taken and then adding another pic with, of course, no additional compensation.

how about, GFK, WE EXPECT NOTHING LESS THAN FLAWLESS INSTRUCTIONS AND GUIDELINES in order to produce those expected flawless reports?

and, GFK, how about paying us fees that are commensurate with those expectations.

It's kinda/sorta not surprising that GFK is having difficulties in all areas of their business.

fortunately they have reined-in their schedulers from posting on this site who were insulting, condescending and nothing more than paid apologists for GFK.
