Sick of the unfair moderation around here. I'm out.

To suspend Jas because she won't apologize to someone who follows her around and trolls her to get a reaction is ridiculous and unfair. I wouldn't apologize either.

The bias of the mods is blatant.
Good luck everyone.

It is very unfair. Was the other person suspended as well??? And why mention the posts from one person that go on and on without adding value if something won't be done about that poster?

Please do not make assumptions about the actions of the Moderators without having all the facts at hand. The Moderation Team never made any such request as alleged. If you have received any information contrary to this, please forward it to the Moderators. We will reply.
Okay, I have been informed that I was mistaken so I apologize for that. I misunderstood the information I was given. However, since this is now out in the open I will just say that YOU wanted her to apologize to you or you were going to suspend her. Maybe she owed you an apology, and maybe she didn't. But to use the power of your moderator tools to extract an apology is ridiculous. Sure you are entitled to ask for one, but not entitled to force it. So my original point stands. Unfair and heavy handed moderation is what is happening here.
I need to disagree. What was done was a deliberate attempt to cause damage to the environment of the forum itself and cause trouble for those who she believed were moderators. It is just not right to even suggest that particular individuals are moderators--whether they are or aren't--because that paints targets on those members any time a discontented poster does not get their own way. The moderators are volunteers. They deserve to be treated respectfully, even if you disagree with them, because the owner of the forum tired of the chore of playing cop and light moderation by volunteers is/was a substitute for just shutting the forum down. You don't ask to be made a moderator, you are asked if you would be willing. If I were asked, I would say 'no' because of the time involved and the seemingly inevitable criticism.

To have represented to others via PM that suspension was due to something else is dishonest.

In the past offenses such as this have led to exclusion from the community--not just suspension. We are all stressed by COVID whether we think we are or not. There are good conversations that this member brings to the forum and there are whinings where she complains about others rather than just toggling them and getting on with her life. "Unfair and heavy handed moderation" is not at all what is happening here. There is an option for salvation being offered that is not unreasonable due to the stresses we are all under. The point is to make certain that there is an understanding that the moderators are NOT your personal hit men. The forum norms and rules are to be abided by. And as far as I am concerned, this individual needs to make a very private and sincere apology to those members named as it certainly was her intent to cause them grief.

There's no "believed" I have screenshots to prove it if you would like to see.

I will just reply to this because you are entitled to your opinion and I am not of a mind to argue. She did not represent it dishonestly. She did not specify who she was supposed to apologize to and I made an erroneous assumption. She clarified it to me just before I made my post above.
If people are so stressed out, they should go for a walk/run, ride a bike, do yoga/meditation, lift weights if you have them. Get some form of exercise, fresh air and Vitamin D from sunlight. Even in lockdown, there is always something you can do besides spend useless time online and raising your cortisol levels. Exercise will help you sleep better also.
If one doesn't have free weights at home, the body is a great weight machine: pushups, squats and planks.

I miss JAS. She kept this forum going and I do not see anything offensive from her. WTH?
From what I have read she provided an obnoxiously arrogant demeanor of a know-it-all to whom anyone else's opinion pales and is indubitably in error when compared to her. Good riddance.
What did I miss?
