Apostrophes and quotation marks displaying as symbols

If you're posting on an iPhone and experiencing apostrophes and quotation marks displayed as symbols, try checking your settings and turning off smart punctuation, for the benefit of all readers.

Settings > General > Keyboard > Toggle Smart Punctuation

Not my iPhones at all. Perhaps older models? I know some here with Androids and I see the same issue. Stop hating on iOS. LOL.
@tznmvi - How do you just show up here as a new member and your first post is about an ongoing issue? Is this a new identity you are using? It just seems odd.
I have an iPhone16 that is less than a year old does it.

I need to figure out if it affects anything else if I turn off smart punctuation.

Otherwise, I will do what I did when I was in college and trying to make my papers longer and not use contractions!!
