I recently had a post about my worst-ever mystery shop, where I wanted to get a handle as to how bad it was compared to what others had experienced, and a forum member then lied about it, by falsely claiming that I'd written that kind of thing multiple times, including the day before, falsely claiming that I do it all of the time, that I am over-dramatic, and that I need to calm down a bit.
Now, that comment got 3 likes from other forum members, but the big problem is that it was completely false.
Most forums I go to ban people for lying about other forum members in order to get a run-on of hate against them, so I am wondering what the policy is here. The person who lied about me not only didn't retract it but added a further lie by falsely claiming that I had edited other posts to say that.
I hadn't.
My edits were to try to remove anything that might identify me or the specifics of the mystery shopping company or where I shopped.
So why wasn't something done about this lying?
I wasn't just lied about - I was then told that something I hadn't done was horrible - and then 3 people liked it.
Shouldn't that warrant something being done to stop it?
What are the policies on this forum about such behaviour and why wasn't anything done about it?
