do you fill out customer service evaluations?

Today, I had an outstanding server for my secret shop lunch. She pointed out the customer survey on the bottom of the receipt and told me if I entered I would be eligible to win money and she would be entered into a contest if she was mentioned. So I filled out the on line survey giving her outstanding marks, but didn't leave my name or state that I wished to enter the contest or receive specials from the restaurant chain because they wouldn't be allowed when I shop it again (as I do several times each month, different locations.) Just wondered if anyone else has filled out a survey while on a shop.

I have seem them b4, but usually the cashier points out a number on the back of the recepit to call. Like at Subway, Dollar tree or Burger King.
If I am on a shop, I would never consider doing it, because I am already reporting the service, etc., probably in great detail, and because I am already being reimbursed/paid for my visit.

Filling out surveys while on a shop was discussed in late August - the thread is titled "surveys on mystery shop receipts"

Two reasons I don't fill out the surveys (although I could see doing it if the server benefited and deserved it).
#1 - usually the MS instructions say you are not allowed to
#2 - I see those surveys as direct competition to the MS. If everyone filled out a card with honest comments, we'd be out of a job.
I,dont, fill out anything unless I am paid... Not lottery prize... Paid...

Totally agree!!! I have come to the conclusion that we (shoppers) need all the opportunities that we can get. These surveys are definitely in competition to our opportunities.
Absolutely agree with all said above about not filling the surveys so mystery shopping remains intact.

However, when Regal Cinemas had it's own internal mystery shop program, the person running it told me that some shoppers were recruited from their survey cards which I had never filled out because they, like CVS, they don't even pay the postage !!!

I never heard of anyplace else that recruited mystery shoppers from service cards and Regal still uses them along with a now outsourced msc.

I don't fill out any customer service surveys for shops I've done. I did a auto dealership shop and got a survey request from them a few days after the shop. I sent the MSC an e-mail advising of the e-mail I received (follow-up contact was part of the shop) so they could get credit for sending the survey request.
I have never seen instructions stating your not allowed to fill out a survey, I usually don't, but really don't see it interfering with our work. We are a bit more detailed and you get what you pay for. Just another way for the client to get feedback, however limited it may be, I wouldn't worry about msing being in jeprady over a survey.

Live consciously....
I did a shop this weekend for a wings place that specifically stated, if you called the feedback number, you would not be reimbursed for your meal. They do exist.

I agree that if too many people do them, they may decide that they don't need mystery shoppers.
