Car Wash Shop

Curious...does everyone drive a 2007 or newer car? Just trying to figure why this is so important. My car is not an '07 or newer, but is still nice looking. Why doesn't it deserve a car wash?

Odd, I agree. I recently sold a 1990 truck that loved car washessmiling smiley Still have an 03 truck in the family that begs to be washed. The MSP has given me special permission. Also needed special permission to take the old ones to some oil change shops.
This posting should be deleted, what has this to do with mystery shopping ????

Please post this elsewhere...
Car washes and oil changes are mystery shopped. Guidelines can be waived by mystery shopping providers. If not Mystery Shopping Discussion, where would you suggest it be posted, Arch?
Hey Arch. Have a coffee and chill. Be nice to the ladies...winking smiley

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I don't do car wash shops, but I do the oil change shops. Arch Stanton those are both shops done by mystery shoppers. Also you are not the boss on this forum. You need to think before you post.
The person should have simply asked who shops car washes instead of making an open ended statement about needing a car wash...that being the case, Intelli-shop.com does them and for oil changes check out servicesleuth.com, gamefilm-consultants.com, Ipsos and Intelli-Shop also does but only limits them to several American made cars.

Sorry for the hard feelings!!! No offense intended...And only wash your car when cold, if the paint is hot it is bad for it...
P.S.--Conferoinc.com also does oil changes...
Sorry....don't kick me off &/or delete me!

I didn't explain...I get Mystery Shop requests to do a car wash....BUT you must have a 2007 or newer vehicle! Does this explain?

Guess I'm just not perfect!
I'm fairly new to this website and Mystery Shopping. UP till NOW have been glad I found this website...and have learned so much by reading all the comments.

People should be more thoughtful instead of flying off the handle! Ask questions before you speak. Where else would I post this...it has to do with Mystery Shopping and I was just wondering? Sorry!
Nano7, not to worry :-) I think Arch failed to read the title of the thread. I certainly understood you to be asking why for something as mundane as a car wash a newer vehicle needed to be use. I have absolutely no clue about the logic behind that! I run my 1999 truck through car wash shops as well as the 2008 Civic and it seems to make no difference whatsoever. I am there to observe speed, efficiency, friendliness and quality and frankly they had better be just as good to my truck as to the car.

Secret Shopper has a car wash in my area but I am unable to see if they have them in any other area.
Thanks Flash, MrComputer101 and all who defended me. It really floored me to read the one snide remark I got.

I don't put in my two cents here very often, but I do read the forum nearly everyday for ideas, help and entertainment. (Some of you are so funny and I might add...so nice!)

And ARCH fyi....I do keep getting emailed by an MS to do a gas/car wash detail. MS says if you have a car older than a 2007, you won't be paid. I have an '05 car, no dents, no flaking paint...still looks new, very low mileage. No reason to trade up right now! I did email the scheduler once and asked what was wrong with my car...got no answer. Am still puzzled why the age of the car matters. What is it, if you drive a car older than 2007, you don't have the sense to submit report?

Now guess it's time for me to drop the subject, forget my bruised ego and go on!
nano7,

At any car wash, they will only give you simple, generic cash register receipt as opposed to an oil change shop which will contain detailed auto inforamtion with the model year taken as it appears on the inspection sticker. If the scheduler chooses to not bend the rules, then don't do it either...

So stick with the guideline rules for now....

And customerimpactinfo.com also does car washes.
Thanks Arch.

All I wanted was to find out the logic behind this. (And thought surely I'm not the only one who has experienced it from this particular MS...or maybe everybody else has a newer car and so have no reason to question it.)

I don't sit around and worry, I just delete it when it's emailed. But it always leaves me wondering for a bit.
Secret Shopper offers a car wash shop in my area, too. In fact, I am doing one tomorrow. This one did not specify anything about the age of the car. : )

Golly, if you have to drive a 2007 or newer, sorry 2006 Ford Taurus no car wash for you. Bummer. Now on to the serious side, I've never received those emails. But then again I'm probably not signed up with said company or with me being in a small town maybe they aren't mystery shopped.
i always do the bonused wash shops for CORI... they dont specify...

shopping north west PA and south west ny
QAMS does them scheduled through KSS. No specifics there either. They only ask if you have two cars to be able to do both locations (about 6 miles apart)

I use one of the particular detail places regularly. I would kill to be able to do a shop there. Last count, I've applied for 2 locations at least 5x each and no response.

This has everything to do with mystery shopping. These are actual shops that are offered. I guess maybe you have never seen any. I have never taken one because they said you have to get the full package and I am not sure how much the full package cost (well, I could call them to find out).
