Reaching a target at an apartment

I don't understand why some mystery shopping companies want you to call constantly until the target answers at an apartment. If the target doesn't answer you have to call the MS company and let em know to see if they will approve asking for the target. What gets to me is that this company told me I had to call 12 times before reaching the target. 12 times!!! Calling 12 times and hanging up each time or saying some dumb excuse like "I got the wrong number." That definitely smells like "mystery shopper" to them after so many attempts. I think 3-4 times is more than reasonable if you can't reach the target. More than that is pushing the limit and actually the shopper is harrassing them unintentionaly and the shopper is wasting time and getting frustrated for not getting the target.

If you call 3 times a day for 4 days, you'll reach the 12 attempts. Call first thing in the morning after they open. Then again around noon. Then finally a couple of hours before they close.

When you call, you can ask things like, "Is there a washer and dryer in the unit?" After they answer you can say, "Ok, I'll call back." Or you can do the same thing and ask if they accept pets. Also, you can purposely ask for someone else so they'll tell you that you have the wrong number. Finally, make sure you disguise your voice each time. smiling smiley

I hope this helps.
