What do you know about mystery shopping? What do you need to learn?

I know that I do an assignment and you guys pay me. My last experience I call
myself doing an assignment that was sent to my e-mail it turned out that someone
in my area had already did it.

You can reach me at 989-777-3342 or 353 Vestry Dr. Saginaw,MI 48601

I enjoy Mystery Shopping, but sometimes feel the report I fill out is not totally my impression. Often times they only want you to say " I was greeted by a friendly clerk " If I try to add a comment about something unusual they often do not let you put it. I feel that the report takes too long to fill out. If the answer to the question is yes, you should not have to explain it, only the no answers.
I appreciate your concern about us. I love the opportunities and I think the clerks like our grading them for they have an incentive to do their best. I guess my problem is fitting some assignments into my schedule with work but really with the time you give us to prepare for them, is shouldn't be a problem. However,I had an assignment but couldn't get the paperwork till 2 days before the date & I had to be out of town till 1 day before the assignment so I forgot the assignment since I had to rest after the trip. If you could let us get our paperwork like 5 days or so before the assignment, it might be more realistic for me to remember the assignment. Thanks Mo
I know it can be alot of fun. You can do it in your spare time. I know you have to evaluate the business. But I can't find any mystery shopping around my area, its always 50 miles away or more. So it would not make me any money.

I would love the chance to do some, to make money.
Last year I found a website that didn't cost a dime and had alot of top paying assignments. I moved and lost the name of the company and their website. Now I am interested in picking it back up and can't seem to locate it . There is alot of mystery shopping company's out there but most of them want money sent up front well I am not one to be scammed out of my money. Do you have company's that do not require money up front?I live in the Pittsburgh area so I know there is company's in that area. Thanks
Well im sorry i havent been able to get back at you. My computer isnt working so i really dont get on much only when i get a chance at my sister in laws. Well what i know is that...i get to shop and i get paid? Sounds too good to be true. Now is there a start up fee? or how does this work. I am interested..so if you can get back at me. Thanks, krystal!
This is for cathy and anyone else,

Check out the web site volition.com they have a 100 or so mystery shopping companies lic=sted that are free to join. I have used them and signed up with 40 to 50 companies so far. I have enjoyed this and have made some good money in the last 9 months.
Try them out to find some companies in your area.

What I know as a mystery you enter into the store as a customer but in the mean time you are checking things out like the building outside and inside that would be floors , bathroom, the friendliness of the sale person. And you would be doing your normal shopping .
I know that the Mystery Shopper goes in to a store unannounced and walks the store, checking restrooms, set ups, end caps, organization and merchandizing of the products and cleanessof the over all operation. Follow a check list each thing checked adds points to the operation. When finished goes to the cashier and ask for the manager and meet him/her if past inspection present a certificate to manager of a job well done.

This is not hard and does pay good and I know anyone can do this type of mystery shopping so why is it so hard to fine the right company to do so? Look forward to someone's answer on where to go in the local area to apply for such of a job.
I have not found anywhere to go in the local area. I have found many companies on the Internet and registered with them for free. Some have jobs in my area but most don't. There is no real way to know if a company will have work in your area unless you apply and they respond. Mystery Shopping was not easy for me in the beginning. Trying to remember everything I had to observe while overcoming the paranoia telling me they knew I was a shopper took some time to accomplish. Good Luck!
If I can and I purchase something more than the cost of the shop. I take the item or items back. I make some really good excuses. I usually blame my husband. It works real well. Some shops you may be required to purchase 50 or more. Take the stuff back and get your money back on these shops. Sometimes I send a friend in to get the money back too. Also I had a shop recently and I needed some equipment for my daughter to play a sport. I bought it there. Then I shopped other stores for the same equipment. If they were lower on price than my mystery shop, I took back what was higher priced and kept the rest. She needed the stuff anyway.
Hi everyone. I signed up last summer of 06 and got discouraged after two weeks of intensive signing up with companies. Now my interest is rekindled. Yes I want to know who sharon is signed with. Judy thanks for continuing to send me emails. luv them
I do understand that you should not pay to shop but if you are paying to get gold silver or bronze levels to these companies what is that.
