Major Grocery Store needs MSs again.

Went shopping at that major grocery store that recently cancelled their MS program. I was pleased to notice that when we were shopping them they really seemed to have improved. Not the case 2 months later. Wipe dispenser was totally open and a mess with tissues on the ground and overflowing. Elect Carts full of trash. Employees were not acknowledging customers and cashiers talking with baggers instead of paying attention.

Maybe they will reconsider their decision and start up again. (or at least fool the employees into thinking they are being shopped again)

The program you mention was not worth my time. I am glad the grocer learned the employees knew mystery shoppers were shopping and acted accordingly.

The only reason they will restart the program is that it motivated the employees to perform as they should. When the employees have no accountability they will revert to sloppy performance.
This is the same with all companies that had mystery shoppers and cancelled their program. I've gone into a lot of companies I use to shop and have noticed the service is the pits and the interior and restrooms are horrible.

Are we talking about one on the East or West Coast? I know a couple that changed hands and have started new programs in the East.

I thougt we were talking about Kroger (and it's affiliates).

I've noticed the same thing. Since the mystery shop program ended, I still shop there but the wipe dispenser has usually been empty and on more than one occassion, the foyer had no carts at all.
