mystery shopper scam

I REPLIED TO A NUMBER OF THE EMAIL JOBS TO FIND OUT HOW MANY SCAMMERS WERE OUT THERE, WELL I PLAYED THEM ALONG AND RECEIVED ALMOST $5000.00 IN POSTAL MONEY ORDERS AND A GROUP OF NAMES IN DIFFERENT CITIES AND COUNTRIES, AND THEY KEPT ASKING ME TO REPORT BACK ABOUT THE MONEY THEY SENT, WELL WHEN I GOT ENOUGH OF THEM ON THE HOOK I TOLD THEM I KEPT THE MONEY FOR MY SELF AND THE TROUBLE I'D BEEN THRU TO CASH THE CHECKS, WELL THEN THE MAIN PLAYER TOLD ME I CAN'T TAKE THE MONEY FOR MY PERSONAL USE AND HE WAS GOING TO REPORT ME TO THE { HIS WORDS} RELEVANT AUTHORITYS, SO I TOLD HE GO ON, THE NEXT EMAIL I TOLD HIM I WAS JUST STRINGING HIM ALONG TO GET ALL THE INFO I NEEDED FOR MY INVESTIGATION, AND I HAVEN'T SEEN THIER EMAILS SINCE, THEY MIGHT BE USING DIFFERENT NAMES NOW, BUT I KEEP HUNTING, BEWARE PEOPLE YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S THE BACKFIRE SCAMMER IS.

I don't advocate messing with the scammers but I am sure it had to be a "hoot" to play with them. They can be dangerous in that they have your home address and love to threaten when the money pot gets rattled.

On some of the anti-scammer forums I belong to, keeping the scammers "busy" is a great idea....because if they are "busy" with you, they aren't going to have as much time to mess with someone else.

Shame to the scammers that read this board. It's not like 10 years ago, the technology that scammers helped rip off people, is the same technology that is NOW allowing potential victims to get information to STOP a scam before they get scr*ewed.

Looks like the scammers will have to get a "real" job.

OP, if you are interested, there are plenty of sights where they mess with scammers FULL TIME, in hopes to "slow them down" on wild goose chases...

Google a few...
