Best service

What stores, restaurants, etc. have you noticed have consistently good service? I just did another Sunglass Hut shop and they are always so nice and helpful. I wish I could afford to buy sunglasses each time I go there. On the other end of the spectrum, I just shopped a department store that has a great reputation, and I was really surprised at the bareness of the store and the minimal effort of the staff.

I just did a couple of these, one in Macy's and one in the Kiosk, with the help in the Kiosk being fabulous. I loved a pair as well, while the other was just o.k., big difference. I said in report to give the girl working Kiosk a raise as she told me she was leaving, and that kind of help is impossible to find...I would call them "fun shops", but wish I could have spent the 114.00
on those Ralph Lauren glasses...boohoo.

I did another shop where I fell in love with some $300+ Tom Ford sunglasses! The downside of shopping is feeling deprived sometimes. Oh well, I have food and shelter a-plenty.
Hey, beatlesfan1964, don't wait to get your Tempur-pedic. We've had one for over ten years I would never ever have anything else. I do their shops willingly (just did one Thurs.) which was a dream. No other customers in the store and a super salesman who said all the right things. I got a very nice positive response from the editor which made my day. And to top it all off, there was a Krispy Kreme store in the same strip mall. A good day all around!
To each his/her own - LOL! I did several Tempur-pedic shops and even though the sales asso. did a good job, I was not into the mattress. I am too used to the box spring type of mattress and would rather spend the $2,000 on a Stearns and Foster mattress, which I discovered while ms'ing a furniture store.

Doing a Diamond engagement ring today, know I'll get good service, will I want it, maybe, but I do a bar audit across the street, so will cry in my beer......

Have done several Estee Lauder shops where the associates were just wonderful; they spent a great deal of time with me and I left with a nice product, a reimbursement/fee that covered 90% of the cost, and a lot of product knowledge.

I have always avoided department store cosmetic counters (except for Clinique) because the makeup associates seemed kind of intimidating.

A handful of Estee Lauder shops later, and I've done a 180 degree turnaround. If you see one in your area, I'd definitely consider them. Just price out the products you feel that you can afford on the website beforehand if you're worried about the reimbursement covering the purchase.
Speaking of cosmetics and skin care, beautypedia.com has reviews of thousands of products, done by skin care experts. Makeupalley.com has consumer reviews of products. I find both are useful when I want to see if advertising hype has any truth.
I've been using Estee Lauder products for years! Would love to know how to get those shops!

I just did my first Sunglass Hut yesterday - it was a real store in the mall, not a kiosk. I agree completely - great staff, glasses to drool over. The $350 Pradas made me cry.

I have done one Temur-Pedic - cried over that one, too. OMG - it really IS a cloud!

Loved the diamond ring I saw, too. Is your shop for Tacori? I looked at one of theirs, but the questions made no sense. You're supposed to insist on looking at one, then later ask, "Why should I invest in the Tacori? Can't you make a similar one for less?" I'm confused, so I didn't accept.

My first week of MSing, I was ready to go into $10,000 debt for some of the stuff I saw! Sure wish I could find a bar shop in my area....
The reimbursement for the Estee Lauder shop only covers mascara for my daughter. However, it was nice to find out about their products and the reports is only somewhat tedius. There is a set of questions in the report I do not like, so I don't take every Estee shop I run across.

Lisa, yes it was Tacori (did it today), I found it easy and the Associate really helpful, answering questions I yet asked. PM me and I'll give you details, don't be intimadated, I learned so much...they don't pay much, but I was at this mall working and lunching at BJ's.

I have done a number of Landry's Restaurant shops and have found a wide range of service. Some employees are spot on, exceeding the corporate requirements and going above and beyond exepectation. Other Landry's locations did not seem to get the customer service manual. I guess this is the challenge of having a mega corporation with many different brands.
