how many of you (female) would do this shop?

A different kind of shop that I was asked if I wanted to do except I am not female. Not sure many would be willing to do it for a whopping $15 shop fee and only 50% reimbursement.

"Have you ever wondered what your true bra size really is? Is your bra not fitting as comfortably as you would like it to? Are you having issues with the way your bra looks under your clothing? If so, this assignment is definitely for you!

For this assignment, You will be required to try on different bras that they select as well as bras that you would like to try on. After you perform your assignment you will provide detailed information regarding your overall experience, the products and services you were offered and the level of customer service that was provided to you.

A purchase of ANY garment is required.

The client advises that as part of the fitting experience, you WILL BE required to disrobe from the waist up. The bra fit specialist will take a VISUAL look at your chest area with your bra on and with your bra OFF. The client’s expects for all shoppers not to hinder the fitters in any way during the fitting process. If you have privacy issues of any kind, please DO NOT apply for this shop.

Be advised that (**store name removed**) “high end” store and all items/products for sale in the store reflect the client’s exclusivity."

I can imagine the narratives some people will write on this shop...

Sure, I'd do it.

As a woman who has given birth to two children, gone in for pap smears, mammograms, and checkups for decades, this is no big deal.

I gave birth with five medical students and two nursing students in the room. They've got to learn somewhere, right?

And the ladies in the lingerie department of this store see more breasts and hips and thighs than the workers at KFC. No big deal.
I would not do the shop but it has nothing to do with modesty. I simply don't think the pay and reimbursement are commensurate with the expenditure of time that's required .... and it requires the purchase of a garment. Now..... for full reimbursement plus $15 fee I'd probably do it. For full reimbursement and no fee I would consider it. But a $15 fee and only half reimbursement, wouldn't even look at it twice.
Sure, I would do it. It is hard to find professional fitters any more. Note that the shopper can "buy any product" so that does not have to be an expensive "exclusive" bra. A modest purchase for a holiday gift will do. That might be some special soap for washing fragile items, sented drawer liner, or any of the other little things that such places stock to appeal to impulse buying. I have eve seen Godiva Chocolates at the register in a high end undies store.

I would if I needed a new bra. Those suckers are expensive, and a properly fitting one is worth its weight in gold.

After years of OB care and then going through childbirth, I'm not fussy about nudity in appropriate situations. I'd never go to, say, a nude beach, but I no longer care about stripping down for a doctor or bra fitter.
I accepted and performed a similar shop with my GF once. The employee was OK with me hanging out in the dressing room during the fitting.

I ended up buying a really expensive piece of lingerie that was over the reimbursement to reward my GF for helping out, but the shop was heavily bonused anyway since it was overdue (hence they let a male accept it!).

It is way easier IMHO to observe and report when you are not the subject as well.
Umm, I would say that I'm _very_ on the fence on this one. I've been fit for a bra before, I too have no problem with the modesty angle, but I can tell you that you can get fit for a bra and not have someone ogling your breast area unimpeded for the extent of time this assignment sounds is required, ya know? It just reads as really creepy to me.

I don't mind someone "looking" to "eyeball" (although, tape measure, yeah?) sizes, but this sounds like something completely different.

Outside of my objection that it seems worded creepily, I agree with AustinMom. It pays way too little. I, too, would probably do it for full reimbursement plus $20 or $25. Around $65 or $70 in total.
I actually have wanted to do that shop but keep missing it. The store is super upscale and getting a discount and free measurement is a good value.

Heck yeah I would! Oprah said that over 75% of women wear the wrong size bra, so you know the odds of me doing the same are pretty high! Besides, if Oprah says it then it has to be true, right?? smiling smiley
You have inspired me to register with every possible company I can find out there to get the one that offers these shops!
I have performed this shop twice. I love my bras but(t) the Hanky Panty thong is to die for!

Gimme a break. I would be much more impressed if she knew half as much as she thinks she knows and still had an inkling what it's like to live when you don't have a full-time staffwinking smiley

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Of course, I was being sarcastic about the Oprah hit. She does know one thing -how to make $165 million a year!!! Maybe she has stock in bra companies! Ha! Ha!
No way. Yes, modesty would be a factor for me but the deciding factor would be the fee. WAY too low.
I performed this shop when I was green. Too much work for the money. I had the option to keep the bra or return it...I had to drive 10 miles out of my way to an authorized UPS facility to send it back.
For those that want to do this and get a great bra, why not? How detailed can the report be, and many of my retail jobs pay from 15 to 20, with NSS droppng their fee down to 10.00 which is a ripoff.

The 50% reimbursement is what bother me, also. If it is upscale and a garment is required, there may be limited items available in my price range.

Since garment is mention, not just any purchase, that eliminates the little stocking stuffer type gifts we have way too many of as shoppers.
I would have a hard time paying 50% for those expensive bras.. when I can get a nice bra at Ross!
I did it, when I shopped for this company early on. It was mostly out of curiosity and the actual desire to get my real size, which I'd been wanting to do. If I recall correctly, there was an option to either send the bra back for reimbursement OR keep it (and be reimbursed up to 50%). Anyway, I opted to keep the bra. That said, I wouldn't perform the shop again. Too much work for too little money.
I would do it even though the pay is low because I need to get measured again. A bra that fits correctly is well worth the embarrasment of being seen.
Nah.

I was properly fitted and sized long ago, at no cost. The report is out of proportion to the fee/reimbursement.
I did it way back when and was able to purchase 2 garters for my wedding. At that time I was fully reimbursed. They paid $50.
Well I guess all the women are on the train. I worked for a year as a bra fitter and you can say I do not want to take my top off and they will just measure you out side your clothes, or should. Bra fitting should only take 15 minutes. You can control it. With a small purchase or 50% off a good bra. Invaluable. Your girls will thank you.(:!
Nope not me! Actually, I've been offered this shop several times. I have no problem with the nudity issue. However the low shop fee and expensive purchase just turn me off.

I'm with you. The only reason I did it was to get paid to do something I wanted to do anyway! (I should not have kept the garment though, the place is really expensive.)
You had me going to do the shop clear up until I needed to have a visual done with the bra OFF too. Nope, not for me. I really would have, having a properly fitting bra is as good as chocolate in most cases! smiling smiley

But, even after having kids and losing all modesty in the hospital, I still would rather not have someone getting a visual. They can tell through my shirt how the girls are hanging....did I mention I had 3 kids! LOL.
I am over here rolling at the thought. My little one is 7 months and I had a C section. Nefound respect for nurses. Especially those on the maternity ward. LOL

Not for me. I'm not going topless for $15, even the hookers downtown get more than that.

So, normally, one has to PAY to get measured at a store??

It was my understanding their fittings are free. I wouldn't want to go through all the hassle for a report when I could get the fitting and then just go to a store I prefer, like VS.
