Are PetSmart and/or PetCo shopped?

In the mid to late 90's, when I did a little mystery shopping on the side, my first shops were PetSmart. Loved it! Not a ton of pay, but was reimbursed for a full grooming and bath for my dog.

When I restarted mystery shopping in 2010, I haven't been able to find PetSmart (or PetCo) shopped anywhere. I still need to sign up with lots more MSC's (only have 50 +/-), I know... but was just curious if anyone knows if they're out there, somewhere, with some MSC.

Back in the 90's, I shopped for Courtesy Counts. Haven't seen that MSC since taking it up again, either. In the 90's, I sort of fell into mystery shopping by accident. My sister found out about Courtesy Counts (don't remember how), and they needed someone with a dog to do PetSmart. So my sister referred me. I also shopped a couple of office stores and a restaurant, too.

Rats, that they're not shopped lately... hopefully they'll re-start their programs soon. I have seven Shelties & a Collie... so any help with grooming and bathing them, that I could get reimbursed, would be wonderful! Save me some time from doing it all myself. hee.

My beasties could all do with a serious bath and brush as well! That would be a great assignment.

The only assignments I have done for PetSmart are price audits. Boooring.

However, I have been lucky enough to get veterinary clinic assignments from time to time. Those pay very well, and they reiumburse a lot of the expenses of the visit.

All I've done for these shops were "find the demo" shops for certain brands of pet food.

Rats! Those shops where one of my dogs got a full brush/bath reimbursed were *SO* nice!!! You also had to peruse the rest of the store, and then pay at the registers for the grooming service. I was really hoping that maybe they were still around!

I've done one of the vet ones, it *was* good!

HA!! I hadn't thought of that. But it could definitely work!

Reminds me of taking a freshly bathed Sheltie to a dog show several years ago. It was hot, and I was riding with two friends, and the friend's car didn't have A/C, so the windows were down as we drove the interstate. I was in the back seat with my Sheltie (Silver), and their short-coated dog. The fluff swirled through the air the whole 60 or so miles! The friends would occasionally catch a puff ball out of mid-air. Later, the one friend suggested that the next day, I put my Sheltie in a mesh bag for the ride!

Actually, though, the StormCloud was supposed to represent an array of avenues I had brain"stormed" on to make money for myself, when finding a traditional job wasn't working!

I have done a pet supplies plus if that helps, are there any in your area, stormcloud? I had to pretend like my dog had fleas. I brought him with me to the store and the manager looked close and told me no, he did not have fleas, after the sales associate almost put chemicals in my cart to put on him. Not bad...very ethical.
They don't do grooming.
